This is a thread dedicated to the Chakras in order to get understanding of the dynamics and systems related to Chakras!

I'll begin with writing a story as to why I believe there even is such a thing. I am somewhat of a skeptic and have in the past dismissed this notion. But.. I had one lucid dream in which I meditated purely for the sake of meditation and trying to see where it leads and in this dream these symbols appeared in my body. All six or seven of them. I didn't count. In this dream-meditation I floated upwards into the sky and automatically started making hand-gestures in the form of Mudras. I remember making a similar but slightly different Mudra-symbol from a small buddha statue that my parents gave to me.

I didn't think much of it, although it did got me thinking. As if that experience was not conclusive enough I recall two more experiences in which these symbols appeared. Both of which happened under the influence of Freebase DMT. Unfortunately the experience of vaporizing DMT is brief and I didn't get enough time to experiment. Same thing with this lucid dream it all ended way too quick. In these two experiences I have looked in a mirror and seen coloured symbols appear in front of my Torso. I am not sure if I saw one on my forehead but I do reckon that there was some purple to be seen. Like I said it was over much too quick.

I have recently began actively trying to engage my "Chakras" into meditation. But it has been hard, there is too little that is happening for me to feel any notable changes. I therefore conclude that my techniques are generally useless. My last succes was last week where I tried a new sort of meditation called Gateway of Light. I do not know much about Gateway of Light but I do know that the general gist of it is to feel energy in ur hands. Well I did this while sitting in Lotus and moved my hands slightly above my knees. While breathing in deeply I began to feel a tinglint sensation across my hands. Then I felt an unseen force working to push my hands together as if it where a magnet. While this happened I tried to let my arms relax as much as I could without letting them fall. Then I noticed that my hands would automatically repel with every breathe I took and collapse with every exhale. Then I figured why not imagine there is energy within my palms and work on my Chakras. I tried working from top to bottem and slowly moved my arms across every chakra point on my head and torso starting from the third eye. While I felt relatively little, I did notice a theme in my thinking that corresponded to each chakra that I worked on. For instance I remember thinking in new ways about how to behave in a particular relationship while spending time on the heart chakra. Eventually I concluded that my root chakra is the most messed up so to speak

After this experience I did feel highly rejunevated. I took a long walk and found myself feeling very filled up from the inside. I had a sense of focus that is hard to describe but felt way more sharp than usual and much more than before meditating. I mean I could zoom in on thoughts and think more clearly and also look at inanimate objects and not get bored because of the energy that filled me with purpose and meaning. But that was maybe the result of successful mindfullness-meditation and not chakras persay.
