So I have been practicing lucid dreaming for quite a while and am not so bad at it. I can typically tell myself when I am dreaming and from there just enjoy it, but every once in a while I get something that is a little different from my typical lucid dream. It has a totally different feel to it and these "weird" dreams seem to share similar details with each other.
The first experience was when I first started learning about lucid dream so I don't remember too much details about how it happened but I do remember that during the dream I was in my room, standing over my bed, watching my REAL body sleep. The weird thing was that this room really felt like my room and had the exact details of my room, even what was on the tv when I woke up. it was very scary. I could somewhat feel both "bodies" at the same time. I remember coming out of my sleeping body too. I could feel myself lifting above the body in the bed and coming out of it. My mind was telling me I should stay in my body so I was trying to force myself back down but I could not do it. It was like forcing me out. I was moving my "spirit body" when I was really trying to move my real body to wake up, but I couldn't make it move, then finally I got myself back into my body and woke up jumping up. I remember also trying to yell for my parents to wake up but I could barely get anything out of my mouth. I can't be sure, but I feel like very little noises were actually coming out of my mouth as if I was trying to force words out but I couldn't breathe. Like if someone was laying next to me they would have heard that. I was honestly terrified to go back to sleep.
I didn't have another one like that for a while, and if I did they weren't as strong as that one. But the other night I had a dream I was partying and got very drunk (lol I guess I like to party in my dreams). This dream was not exactly a lucid one but it was feeling very realistic and I had the idea to call my friend since I was drunk (lol). I literally woke up and went to call my friend. When I realized it was just a dream I just went back to bed, but since I was still in a half awake- half asleep state, I could kind of tell that I was starting to dream again and thought "why not take advantage of this", that is when it hit me that I was dreaming and I automatically became lucid, but instead of going back to the drunk dream I was having, it turned into another weird dream. I don't know if I was sleeping with my eyes open or not (which I have never been known to do before) but I was staring straight up at my ceiling (I did fall asleep laying on my back). I was aware that I was still dreaming but at the same time it looked like my exact room instead of a dream interoperation of my room and there was what looked like fingers over my eyes. Like someone's palm was on my forehead, holding my head down, with their fingers going down my face and I was looking at my ceiling through the spaces of their fingers. I was trying to lift my body to wake up but the hand was holding me down. I was terrified again. It all felt so real. much more real than my lucid dreams. I was trying to move my arms but I couldn't and I was trying to yell to wake up my parents again but once again could not get anything out. I was telling myself to wake up. Once again, I can't be sure but it seemed like if someone was laying next to me, they would have felt my body jumping and trying to yell. I finally woke up and was too terrified to go back to sleep.
I am scared to have these dreams again. The similarities between these kinds of dreams is whenever I get into them it seems like my hearing becomes way more sensitive. Like I can hear every air molecule flying past my ears. It sounds like I am standing in the middle of a tornado and is very loud. Also, the actually sleep paralysis is constant between both dreams. That feeling of trying to and telling myself I need to wake up but not being able to no matter how hard I try. And the third thing that is common with these dreams is that my room is exactly how it is in real life. In my lucid dreams that show my room they make look the same as my room, but when I wake up I will notice things that obviously were missing or that should not have been there. But with these dreams, there is no doubt that it is my room, exactly how I left it when I fell asleep. If anyone knows what this is, I would appreciate it a lot if they could help me out or just explain what is going on. I would also like to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience. Especially the sounds during these dreams. I am very scared, and it is making kind of scared to sleep. Thank you!
