Thread: Dream shared?

I am new to this forum, For a preface of my dreams, I have been dreaming since I was very young. I have been dreaming in the same, vast, multiple layered dreamscape that is ever growing and I dream about every night.

One recent dream I had was a short dream and not a very interesting one, I bring it up because I believe I was tuned in with someone else's dream. I was in an apartment in one of the cities in the dreamscape, When i got a message on my phone from a friend i havent heard from in over a year. The message was "Ryan, I need your help!" I woke later and the feeling of worry still gripped me. I called this friend and asked if everything was okay, She then said that she had a dream that she was being kidnapped and while she was in a trunk of a car, She text me "Ryan, I need your help!" Is this a common type of dream, or coincidence perhaps?

Well, firstly we dream every night, multiple times, so that's not unusual.

Secondly... this seems a little too unbelievable to me... Are you sure you didn't dream the second part where you called this friend?

I contacted this friend shortly after I woke up. This happened in one dream alone and never repeated. As for saying I dream every night, I dream "lucidly" about every night.

Are you those are lucids? Because what you describe could just be a regular dream too.

Well we know nothing about you, and it doesn't make a difference if you did dream share because we didn't experience it. Your story would be better of in the beyon dreaming section.

I will check into beyond dreaming for stories like this, My friend and I talked about this dream and it was partially what led me to research dreams deeper, leading me to this forum.

Well, if it is a coincidence, that's a very interesting one. Or it's something else, like shared dream, or your friend may have been thinking of you during day and that manifested itself by her sending you a text in her dream. But how did that manifest itself in your dream, its a great question.

Sometimes peoples minds and thoughts connect in mysterious ways, that are yet to be discovered.

I believe it was a shared dream, i believe in it very much for this to actually happen.
