My dreams wanted me to stay...?

Well, I wasn't really sure where else to post this, but something really interesting happened to me this morning.

I have martial arts class Saturday mornings, but my alarm was set too early, so when it woke me up I snoozed it and decided to go back to sleep for half an hour, knowing I wouldn't completely doze off.

So, I'm sleeping and get into a really involved dream, and suddenly, I say, in my dream (NOT lucid) "I have to get up to go train" and these two figures appear, taking the form of two of my relatives and say "No, don't go, stay with us, please..." (in like the puppy dog voice). I then say "I wish I could, but I really gotta go" and then I start to walk away from the dream into a field of light and I immediately woke up.
I wasn't late to wake up, only about 15 minutes had passed (it felt much longer), but I got the feeling that my dreams, or something wanted me to stay asleep. I felt pressured or like I was being pulled back and had to really will myself to leave the dream. But... it could have just been my subconscious telling me I was still tired, who knows.

Has this happened to anyone else? What are your thoughts on this occurrence?

Well, I never believed that I would never wake up again if I stayed asleep... I just feel like it was because I was tired (went to sleep late the night before) and my dreams/dream guide/spirit guide(s)/whatever wanted me to get some more sleep

But who knows.... could've been something more or something less

The funny part was that I wasn't lucid when this happened. I told myself to wake up in the dream, but even though I said in the dream I had to 'wake up' my awake self wasn't controlling it and I still didn't know I was dreaming.

      No i never have.

      Sounds interesting.

I just find it so weird that I wasn't lucid at all, even though I knew it was a dream and I did what I would have done if I actually was lucid.... It was like instinct or something.

The state of dreaming is so compelling unto itself, it is almost as if such beings are appealing to your own desire to stay in and sleep. I haven't come across such characters, but I am sure I will.
And I highly doubt staying with them will render you unable to wake up. ... Honestly, as a healthy person who is undergoing their much needed sleep, you can only stay for so long before your sleep cycle ends.

It would be like a friend of mine convincing me to stay at his house longer. If I accepted, it doesn't mean I can never ever leave his house until the day I died. It just means I'm staying longer.

XD ... I'm hoping you already knew that.

Ya, I didn't believe that they were going to kill me if I stayed with them. I went to bed late the night before, and was probably just tired. And as you said, my body was telling me to stay in and sleep! haha

Nothing odd or bad happened that day. Actually had a pretty good training session! haha

I must have just been tired and my subconscious wanted me to sleep.

In my dream when these creatures asked me if i wanted to stay i felt that it was a serious question. I felt that if i stayed i wouldn't wake up in my bed. I felt it in my stomach. There was power involved. Do not know how to explain. Then i remembered another dream of mine which helped me to make my choice which was to wake up in my bed, to see what life has for me on this earth. So i told them that may be we will meet another time
