      Need assistance with ASTRAL TRAVEL!

Hi guys, I've been in and out of the forums here for the last few years...got to a reasonable mastery level of lucid dreaming (not insane, but 1 a night for a while)

I'm now more interested in starting astral travel however - have read a few books, mainly the Robert Bruce written Astral Dynamics - but it's easier to learn from someone who's been there!

Basically, just looking for some people who have gotten to a high mastery level of the astral realms to personally help me out with moving along with my attempts! I'm Australian, if that helps anyone for time differences?

Anyway, hope to be posting more for the next few months and will hopefully meet others interested in inter-dimensional travel soon!

Try Astral Projection for Beginners. Good book.

Anyway, I have had some success, but it is very difficult for me, though some of my OBE's were truly mindblowing. You feel like a ghost. It's crazy. Good luck.

Have you checked out the book "Mastering Astral Projection" from Robert Bruce? It's a 90 day guide thing, with great information and day to day tasks. I got up to day 56 before I had an accident and messed it up, but wow was I seeing some great progress. I had read all of Robert Monroe's books and a couple of Robert Bruce's and really wanted to have an OBE/AP but didn't really know where to start, and MAP gave me a great starting platform to go off of, highly recommend it. I'll be starting it again in the next couple weeks.

Cosmix: Yeah, I've got that book, started it to day ten and didnt see much, althought I wasnt putting too much into it. Might have to check it again.

For LD's I usually use WBTB, or use a lot of affirmations during the day that I will have lucid dreams just initiates lots of dream induced ones as well!

You should definitely read Otherwhere: A Field Guide to Nonphysical Reality for the Out-Of-Body Traveler, by Kurt Leland. Leland has some pretty out-there claims from his experiences in the other realms, but I've had personal experiences that match up and/or are explained by whats in his book.

I think general research on it, meditating, and removing doubts/fears are part of learning to AP. You might try getting in contact with your spirit guides and just generally putting the intent out there for help with astral projection. I've attempted AP off and on, but not consistently or with good focus.

sorry to be a Noob but could anybody breifly explain the difference between Astral Travel and Lucid Dream? I read that astral travel is just a clearer, more defined level of a lucid dream - I thought that shared dreams were another form of astral projection?

      Thanks

In mystic tradition Astral projection is the same thing that secular dreamers call WILD. The difference is in beliefs' framework which influences heavily the content of the dreams, i.e. if you believe that particular WILD is Astral Projection you are almost granted to encounter some sort of astral being or whatever you believe in.

Well im no expert either but i think that astral projection, aint a dream, you are basically kinda of a ghost, flying around in kinda of another dimension, situated in the same place as the regular one that we perceive, you are not all powerful like in your lucids, but you still can do alot of cool things so i've heard, like fly around the world, maybe go visit some poeple you know, but they wont be able to see you, then again, the ghost thing.. but well thats what i think i is, maybe im wrong?

According to Bruce's definion of Astral projections they are the same what LDers call WILDs, so just read tutorials on WILDing.
