      I CANNOT get lucid.

I think it may be impossible for me to lucid dream.

I have been trying for months to lucid dream, with no success what so ever.

I have tried to DILD. I have RCd constantly and I constanly questioned reality. I have tried to WILD, and DEILD, and Ninja's experiment. With NO success. I didn't even get to SP.

Then, I tried nothing at all on the advice of others. They said to let it be. But guess what? It didn't work...

My mom says that only some people can lucid dream.... Do you think shes right?

      No man that's not true.

Try WILDing. If you want, I could walk you through a REAL easy way to do it.

Alright, always glad to help man.

Here's how I would do it:

Do this a little after you wake up in the morning:

      1. Lay on your back with your hands wherever they're most comfortable.
      2. Lay completely still and let your mind wander. If you find yourself falling, asleep focus on your breathing.
      3. Once your considerably relaxed, you will start seeing random images, This is a sign to start visualizing.
      4. When you visualize, just create some scene in your mind. Add detail as you
think up this scene. If you in a deep enough trance it should become
      EXTREMELY VIVID.
      5. As soon as this happens, get up. Physically try to get up out of your bed.
If you have done everything right, you will get up out of your physical
body and straight into the dream.

If I've failed to explain anything or my explanation is sketchy, tell me and I'll expand on whatever you don't get.

And I'm kinda skeptical... Considering the fact that you have had NO WILDS.

I would look at the tutorial, and you have to be tired when you WILD. That's the main problem. You don't want to just lay down and say, "I'm going to WILD" because it probably won't work.

Do you go to bed late and wake up early? Less time sleeping = less chance of getting lucid dreams.

how many months have you been trying? because I tried for 2-3 months with no success and when I finally got results it was one lucid dream per month if I was lucky for almost a year. Believe me I know exactly how frustrating it can get. But I stuck with it and tried different techniques, always keeping my mind open for lucid-related things and now I get them all the time without even trying. Sometimes it isn't something that someone can help you with... you just have to keep trying out different things and then one day you'll find your right technique or you'll just start getting the right mindset for it and it will come easier. It's so not true that only some people can lucid dream. Believing that would be the only reason that you wouldn't be able to

Is WILD tiring? Like, so tiring that you fall asleep in classes the next day?

Not at all, it requires you to lay there and relax.

      Change your perception
This happened to me too, but Now I realized what was the problem and I'm almost sure this is happening with you..

I became fascinated and obsessed with the idea of LUCID DREAMING..(WOW my OWN MATRIX, yara yarah).. but problem was that I wished and tried very hard to make this what looked like something magical to become real.. !HERE IS THE PROBLEM..!!

Deep down you think that Lucid dreaming is just kind of impossible (but..still you wish for it to be true).. is like proving your self wrong.
(WRONG POINT OF VIEW TO HAVE).

you have to work on believing 100% that LD is possible, you have delete every doubt of negativity in your mind..like LD is part of your nature this makes LDs come natural, because they are part of you.

In some way. you have to let yourself go, believe, "free your mind", dont try to analize everything, just think that Lucid dream is what you do when you go to sleep, Is part of who you are.

Now, you must keep a Dream Journal, helps a lot.. have a good dream recall, beacause what is the point of having a LD and not remembering it.

BUST UP your confindence, make that shift in your perception of things.

      'Ey don't get discouraged!

      I'm exactly the same way.
I've been trying hard ever since I joined Dreamviews, and the only thing I ever got was a dream about learning to fly.
(Some guy was teaching me, told me I could if I believed it and I went "Oh that's like in those Lucid Dreams..")

      Still trying
      It'll come!

EDIT: I just looked back to my first thread I made, and it was posted at 03-16-2008, so that means I've been trying for 6 months. That actually makes me quite happy, I thought I had tried for much longer. I've heard of people who have gone on without results for much longer than six months :v

      I think I can say this for both me and Rai Saix;

      It's not that easy.
I've never gotten as far as getting "Extremely vivid" pictures. (Atleast not ones I can actually see, they remain in my 'third eye')
It's really hard to remain conscious when you're at that point. As soon as I get 'conscious' again after being off from the images, they zoom away and I become more awake.
So saying that I just have to wait for the images and get up, I can imagine this happening:

      1. Vivid images arrives.
      2. Omg, their here, I should attempt to get up now.
      3. Vivid images dissapear due to me getting more awake.
      4. I'm standing up.
      5. Reality Check.
      6. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU--

Rai, it looks to me like you and me have pretty much the same problems
Do you agree with these points? :p

I'm almost having the same problem. I've been trying on and off to LD, probably for about a year now. The only time I have any real success is when I stop trying for a couple of weeks and then I may/may not have a semi-lucid one, but it's really nothing special. Whenever I try to LD, I either sit there thinking too much to try and stay conscious, but then never fall asleep, or relax way too much and go straight to sleep.
