      Smile Very effective lucid method

Hi everyone, here is a fluke that gave me great results.
I am at boarding school. We have to get upon Saturday at about 7, for lessons. This Friday night I stayed up late, till about 2, then somehow got up in the morning and went to my lesson, which is about 1 hour long. After the lesson I was still tired to I went back to sleep. Once I was asleep, I started having a chain of lucid dreams, maybe 10 of them, waking up in between them. I just thought I'd share this with you all as a sort of extreme WBTB tequnique. What do you think?

As a side note, all the LD's I had were very short and hard to controll. Any tips on amplifying the quality and length of them?

Thanks a tonne for reading this, tell me what you think about this new WBTBish thing, I'll certainly keep trying it out and keep you posted. (:

Morning nap is a very successfull way of geting lucids, be it WILDs or DILDs or DEILDs. Steven LaBerge did a sleep study on it. His original schedule:

      1. Get up 90 min before your regular waking time
      2. Stay up for 90 min
      3. Last 10 min do MILD
      4. Take a 90 min nap

I just wake up anytime between 7-10 am, stay up anywhere from 1-4 hrs and then take a nap. The shorter the time I stay up, better success I have with WILDs. But I have gotten a few DILDs and DEILDs with it too.

During my time up, I get dressed, have breakfast, check my emails and do normal stuff, but I always keep in my mind that I'm going back to sleep.

Even an afternoon nap has proven to highten your chances for a LD. So definitelly go for it, it's a great method.

And damn, they make you get up that early on Saturday?

Yeah we have to get up soo early. So I tried to do this tequnique again this morning, but the fact that I knew I was trying to have a LD seemed to keep me awake. I just couldn't get to sleep. When I finally did, I had a strange dream much one I've had before. In the dream everything is black, and I can feel that I am in bed. I think that I am sort of semi-awake, however when I reach behind me I can feel a item of somekind, like a ring, and I can touch it. I soon wake up as I am not really fully asleep. How can I make my LD's more vivid? I tend to not be able to see very well, only touch, and it sucks. So Gab, thanks for the help. Would you say that WILD's are more effective for you? I have never tried them, any advice? Thanks.

I hate when people join this community thinking that people give a crap about their unconstructive statements.

I love doing this. Most nights I only have about a fifteen minute WBTB, but on Sundays what I do is very similar to this. It gave me a 30 minute LD once. it was amazing. Didn't work this morning though.

Clarity comes from getting the right sleep schedule (for you) and constant DJing!

Control takes time and practice, which means that you need more LDs. Also! Read some tutorials! Visualize yourself doing it IRL (IWL?) and if it is a movie or anime watch that part that inspires you! Good luck!

This used to happen to me when I started out and I got excited just from a thought of LDing. So I told myself that I'm just going to sleep normally, I'm not trying to have LD. And then as I got closer to falling asleep I started with mantras.

Not sure what this was. Could have been a dream, hypnagogic hallucinations, or even a lucid dream. Next time do a motionless RC. Think to yourself "If this was a LD, I would be floating" and see what happens. Sometimes your WILD starts in darkness and nothing else. Sensations and types of entry into WILD.

Couple of suggestions on how to see in LD:
      1. pry open your dream eyes with your dream hands
      2. take off your dark glasses
      3. take the hoodie off of your face
      4. find a mirror and wipe the gunk out of your dream eyes
      5. yell out loud 'I can see now", "let there be light", "look how is everything so beautifull"
      6. bring your dream hands close to your face and concentrate on seeing them - you will start seeing them and everything around you will slowly start showing

And daytime awareness helps with vividness, clarity, length, and pretty much everything else Self awareness (sageous) - read the whole tutorial, has lots of info about WBTB, timing, mantras...

And I don't see that big of a difference between WILDs and DILDs. I love them both. I practice RCs+daytime awareness + mantras for DILDs and I use morning naps for WILDs. I had 40 WILDs and 35 DILDs, not sure if one is more effective than the other. But If you already had at least a few DILDs, give WILD a try. And don't forget about DEILD. You can get those from any LD, so be ready for them. DEILD (dutchraptor)
      Happy dreams
