      Thumbs up On the edge of failure.

      This is wickedly weird but hey, I'm not hurting anybody by asking.

      I've been trying all these different techniques in order to attain lucidity.

      * CAN-WILD
      * WILD with and without WBTB
      * DEILD
      * DILD
      * MILD

      And who knows what else. Jesus christ though, this is grinding my gears real bad because I seem to fail each and every single time.
      I'm doing everything right, EVERYTHING!. (Lol I just had to try the thick font.)
      But seriously people, my dream recall is perfect. I can even go back to previous dreams when I go to bed by just thinking of them. But getting lucid? Hell no, something doesnt want me to attain lucidity. 1 year, and I've only had one tiny lucid experience. I demand you all to help me.

      Seems to me like you're loading up with everything and getting nowhere.

      Who's a better fighter, the guy with an axe, sword, spear, club, slingshot, shield, and gun and no skill, or one really good guy with a sword, or a spear?

      Pick the one you like best and stick with it. Frankly, breaking the wall between no lucids and tons of 'em can be a matter of luck. And some people are just predisposed to not lucid dream well. Have some faith.

      Yes, I know this!
      The only reason I'm skipping techniques every now and then is because it sucks. Imagine yourself in this position, you've tried WBTB-WILD every single night for a year with no luck what-so-ever.
      Yet, You are determined to succeed every night without second thoughts, but it just doesnt work. It's freaking me out.
      Your help is extremely appreciated however.

      If it makes you feel better, You're not alone. I was in your position myself when I first started off. Took me almost 13 months to get my first. For me, it's when I stopped trying so hard, and let my mind take things at its own course that I got what I wanted. A little ironic, really... When I stopped being so diligent is when my brain decided I was ready.

      After that it was a matter of recording what I experienced and feeling very happy about finally getting one. After that I started getting them very frequently, because I guess my brain was made aware that was what I wanted all along.

      I know for a fact you're going to be a great dreamer. Just take my advice and relax! It'll come when you're ready, and not a moment before. And I know it feels like you're ready now, and fact is, you probably are. Just need to give your brain time to catch up! Hah!

      If you're stressing over it, you should take a break for a few days or a week, where you don't try to lucid dream at all.

      I'll give it a shot, thanks!

      Do you suggest any techniques that maybe you guys use to attain lucidity? Do you have lucid dreams frequently?

      Forget CAN-WILD because it will only work for a small amount of people and sporadically at that. The author was on the right track but had only a slight inkling to how to make it work regularly for anyone. What you need is the full story...

      Success Rate For Absolute Beginners:

      For 1-5 attempts (1-3 days) - 50%
      For 6-10 attempts (2-7 days) - 80%
      For 11-20 attempts (3-14 days) - 90%

      How? Download the instruction manula at this link

      Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

      Well you could always try to fuse your MILD with your other techniques

      Simplicity has a point. Some of the absolute best dreamers on this site create fusions of their favorite techniques and make their own regimens. I use combinations of DiLD and WiLDs, with some mantras before I sleep (sort of an autosuggestion thing). Good point, Simplicity!

      Though I would still suggest taking it easy.

      Well, you have discovered that visualizing a previous dream will sometimes continue the dream! That's a start. When we visualize we use the same area of our brain as when we dream. Visualization is also the 'secret' to hypnosis. I would continue the visualization path and combine it with progressive muscle relaxation.

      Being on the edge of failure means you are also on the edge of success. Please don't be discouraged. I believe that the easiest technique is MILD/DILD, combined with sporadic awareness technique and WBTB.

      Take it easy, try not to be too hard on yourself and try not to be forcefull about it. Read as much about LDing as you can to get yourself excited. That, and believing in yourself is very important. This is more about your state of mind than about any technique or practice, although those are of importance, too. Happy dreams
