So... I'm an insomniac... it takes 3 sleeping pills to get me to sleep. I've been trying to WILD for nearly 3 weeks now, with only mild success. My problem is, I take a VERY long time to fall asleep (3 hours or so). I've tried to WILD by simply staring at or through my closed eyelids, but I always end up falling asleep after about 3 hours, without WILD'ing. I think I fall asleep because I have to meditate VERY deeply in order to attain sleep, and in doing so, I go through a long phase of little to no brain activity before finally losing consciousness... there is no, "Oh, I'm falling asleep now," because it doesn't happen all of a sudden like most people... it happens gradually.

So, after no success WILD'ing by simply staring at or through my closed eyelids, I began to try to listen to binaural beats while I try and WILD. This keeps me up with enough consciousness to remember to continue to stare at my eyelids. The problem now is, I cannot fall asleep at all... no matter how absurdly long I try (I've gone 7 hours straight before). I've been experimenting with my binaural beat program to maybe try and find a better beat frequency, or sound frequency, or maybe just the right volume (right now I'm at 40hz sound and 4.25hz beat). So far, still no luck... :/

I think I'm on the right track with the binaural beats, but I'm not sure. I say I've had "mild" success WILD'ing because I had a successful DEILD and WBTB attempt already... but my goal is to WILD straight from being awake all day.

Could all this be just because I've only been trying to WILD for less than 3 weeks? Does everyone go through this phase? If so, how long should I expect to be in this phase before my body finally gets used to WILD'ing???

Any tips here? Please help! I already have VERY vivid 2-5 hour LD's by DILD'ing and MILD'ing, and I hear WILD's last even longer, and are more vivid (if that's even possible for me, I don't know)... so I'm VERY excited and motivated to have one.

HELP!!!!!
