How I became a regualr LDer in 5 months

Hello, I just wanted to share the steps I used to become a regular LDer in just a few months. Different things take different amounts of time for each individual so if dont get discouraged if you dont get the same results, just try something new.

Everything included I learned at this site Dream Views.
I am not claiming to have found these methods or reformed them. I just want to let people know what combination of methods brought me good success in hopes it will do the same for someone else.

here the list of things i do, then ill go alittle more in detail.

-Make dreamjournal to find your dream signs
-Question your reality about every half an hour
      -All day awareness
      -Be Focused
      -Mantras + visualization

Dreamjournal- Needed for dream recall, You should also find out what happens all the time in your dreams.
-My dreams are full of anxiety and weird situations: So In real whenever i get anxiety or something weird happens, even alittle weird. i question my reality
-It will carry over into your dreams

Reality Checks- Biggest reason people dont become lucid when doing reality checks: Because they DO NOT question their reality.
-Do not mindlessly do reality checks, Imagine them working as you do it. (ex. while doing finger through the hand imagine seeing your finger go right through with little effort)
-While doing your reality checks tell yourself, if it works it means i am dreaming.

All Day Awareness- Very important, I use this all the time right before I do a reality check.
-When doing ADA Look around at all the fine details that you normally would not. Remember those details.
-Activate all your senses: What taste is in my mouth, how comfortable am I in my seat? How far can i see into the distance? What do i smell? Is there anything weird? Am i dreaming(followed by a reality check)

Be Focused- I find this to me the most important for myself.
-Focus on your goal to have an LD for atleast an hour before you goto bed(I use alittle longer) During this time have all your senses very active and pay attention to everything around you. When you notice anything new that you never took the time to appreciate before, do a reality check. Really wonder if you could be dreaming.

Mantras and Visualizing- Very important combination with ADA
-When you lay down in bed tell yourself "Next time I am dreaming, I will realize Im dreaming" at least 5 times
-Repeat that EVERYTIME YOU WAKE in the middle of the night. Dont be lazy and go back to bed right away, just say it.
-When saying these mantras I like to picture my reality checks I used during that day. Imagine those real life reality checks actually working and becoming lucid

You should also try all these with WBTB, I find myself having multiple and more vivid lucids with the WBTB method combined

I hope someone find this useful!

This is very helpful indeed n_n
      Good information
Also, this all might not work for everyone, since everyone operates differently but this all definitely leads to the right path for lucid dreaming

Yeah what Erii said, this is great.

I'm planning to do something like this, intending to do it in more detail and more techniques, although I still have to thoroughly test it.

This is great! There are some really useful hints and tips for people to use. I might use some of this, especially the mantras and visualisation which I might give a try.

thank you bosallini. i think the reality check and ADA are good points. maybe i should practising RC and ADA even during i'm awake, make it as routine. so i hope i can keep that routine while in a dream. i'm so ignorant about this during awake time.

First of all, thanks. People sometimes forget their way, and it's great that you actually took some time to stop and to remember people that is starting the path you've taken. It's really invaluable having this kind of tips as well a testimonial of success solely due dedication. I find the examples you give crucial because it's important to refer this:

      - In order to reach lucidity in dreams, the winning formula is your personal own formula!

Really, people need to remind themselves that there's always a better approach for lucid dreaming: your own. Thanks for reminding us of this bossalinni
