      Continuous Consciousness

      Hey everyone.

I was just wondering if anyone knew how/or had ever succeeded to enter sleep consciously. By that, I don't mean having a WILD during a morning nap but staying conscious as we fall asleep at night for our actual night sleep.

I've been trying but I always get to a point where I can just not resist and I have to move and I don't feel like its working anymore and then I just give up. I know! Way to go with that ambition!

Well, I just expected this to be possible since I've heard some Buddhist who practice tibetan dream yoga stay conscious 100% of the time, even when they sleep and are not dreaming. I also read a thread in which someone was trying this out a while ago. I can't find it anymore.

      Thank you

Not that hard, also who told you not to move? Just try falling asleep while maintaining some conciousness and done! (I know, way harder than it sounds...)

But really, I have managed a few times, andsince you enter sleep conciously that makes yourcycles start right away, so yeah you will be dreaming either all or most of the time.

I have done this before. I was trying to do it every night for a while. It is not that hard once you get the hang of it. It is like the initial stages of a WILD stretched over the whole night. If you have ever had a long string of WILDs and DEILDs, you know what it feels like. Honestly, I did not find it very beneficial. It was not worth the attention. I much prefer sleeping through the night, with limited sessions of awareness.
