I'm trying different things, last night I had a LD that started by me looking at the sky, it was beautiful and I realized it was the sky I saw while awake that same day before a storm, so I'm going to try take in more while awake, scenery etc to se if it shows up and sparks a LD. I,m not experienced at LD very much a beginner but I,m also interested in others state of mind. |

I try to be aware of things around me. Focus on each sense separately for about a minute. Touch, taste, sound, sight, and smell. Then I make sure I am very confident that I will have lucid dreams, and fall asleep. |

I do what Mancon does, and am now coupling that with Naiya's MILD technique - visualizing myself becoming lucid. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

The most successful state of mind for me, is too be confident about it. Just be relaxed while laying down, and start thinking of something. Most of my thoughts then (unless I enter sleep paralysis, instead of a dream first) become words, then images, and then finally a scene. Also, every time you wake up from now on, test to see if you are dreaming, like a reality check of some sort. A lot of times you might be lucid in a false awakening and not realize it. Like waking out of bed (even though you just laid down to take a nap) and walking through your door and not question why you are up, when you are trying to lucid dream. hope that helps, good luck! |

When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality. ~Dom Helder Camara
My first and only lucid dream I had a few days ago came from me having a very strong state of mind that a DC would tell me I'm dreaming. During the night I had two separate dreams with DC's (IRL friends) telling me or hinting I was dreaming. One of which worked and triggered lucidity. I believe that the state of mind when you go to sleep is very important. |
