Anyone who has had success with LDing will tell you that it is NEAR impossible at night time without any sleep.. You will have about 95 percent better success after about 5 hours of sleep.. Sometimes people can manage to actually get it to work before bed, but thats the 5 percent we are talking about, and the reasoning for this is because these people usually don't get full nights of sleep and are their body is anxiously awaiting the rem period. This is rare but this is the reasoning behind why it does work for some people.. but let me tell you.. it is very rare.. if you are attempting to ld, do not waste time trying it at night before bed.. you need REM to dream, and its very light at this time.. also your rem periods are much longer after 5 hours of sleep, so if you do manage to LD at night time, it will be very short compared to after 5 hours of sleep.. trust me.. just don't waste your time at night, its not worth it.
