Also, you suggest that melatonin supresses REM sleep. While I have not found melatonin to aid me in lucid dreaming, a simple google search will show you that there are NUMEROUS studies in the wild suggesting that melatonin not only promotes REM sleep, but increases its duration.

**EDIT: while 200mg isn't fatal, 1.5-3mg is probably the most anyone would need to fall asleep, 5mg for some but most will find it too strong. I would only try higher doses to see their effects on lucid dreaming, and during a period of time I know I can devote some serious hours to sleeping.
      Owned.

I'm taking B6, Melatonin, and Choline, which gave me my first lucid.

melatonin suppresses REM for the first half of the night, and causes REM rebound for the later half like any of the other serotonergic chemicals, 5-HTP, Tryptophan, and DHEA. so i would never take it unless you have plenty of time to sleep.

during dreaming the serotonin system is suppressed and this makes you less rational, an increase will help your cognition.

watch this guys videos, it will teach you everything you need to know about LD supplements:

I definitely can feel that effect. I get no dreams before my wbtb, but dreams are more vivid and plentiful afterwards.
