How to start a mahjong club at college

*Wooh, boy. Been a while since I was last here >_< *

Anyway, can someone please give me pointers/tips on how to start a mahjong club at college? Nothing too fancy, just a group of four people or something playing the game. At the most - eight, as I've got two mahjong sets.

The reason I ask is because I'm bored at college and haven't really made any friends - I mean I talk to people but...I don't really know how to finish that sentence =D

I was just thinking that if I start a club then the members would be "forced" to talk to each other and maybe we could become friends.

The only problem I would say is that I have serious doubts about there being anyone at college who likes or even knows about the game mahjong - as I live and study in Scotland and I just doubt there are many people here who play mahjong.

You can get lots of people to show up by creatively misprinting your flyers so they say it's a Mah Bong club.

Easy, really. Just post some flyers around campus for a specific time and place when you'll have the club meetings. Talk to random people about it and persuade them to go. If your school has a student activities 'department', you could register the club there, get help for the club, and possibly gain more members.

If that doesn't work well, find an already established club and make friends there.

Considering the game isn't very popular, you might want to gather some newbies and explain the rules first. If you're making fliers, write on them that all people are welcome, new or experienced. It sounds like a good idea, though.

Sounds like a lot of work though, and I can be quite lazy at times

Good luck! I'm probably just as lazy as you, if that makes you feel better. XD
Either way, don't give up or get discouraged if not a lot of people join. Stick with it.
