      Blue's Dreamscapes

      Liquid crystal;
      looks like a modified pokemon, and is one of two creatures that spawned from my gameboy in a dream a month ago.

      --------------------------------------

      High sky;
      A modified landscape with sky above and water below the horizon. the book in the middle is a portal to another world like shown in the MYST videogames wich is what this dream was inspred by.

      ---------------------------------------

      Malcolm i lost;
      A combiantion of two dreams, the mushroom appeared in a dream i had several years ago, but the eel in the middle is more recent. The eel, wich i had to battle underwater, is about 1.50 meters long, and its damned good at strangling things. i ended up winning the fight agaisnt it though, and i fried him for a meal. HAH!

      The first one looks like an gothic extreme version of this pokémon.

      I think they're all rather good. I'm not a big fan of charcoal though, which I assume is what the last picture is in.

      Very nice work, Blue Water!

      I happen to really like the last one, and dig the funky/sketchy style of the first.
      Keep 'em comin.

      Like i said, it is. two pokemon spawned out from my gameboy to protect me from a rapist. the other one was supposedly a rhyhorn but it didn't look anything like i have seen before.

      The charcoal one is on A2+ format so detail is difficult, i don't like charcoal much either, but i did this for a school assignment so i don't allways have a choice in media.

      Dream of purple

      This dreamscape was inspired by levels in Halo2 aswell as another artist on deviantart. The painting is very small and very old.

      In it, I was fighting battles inside one of the floating buildings, my aunt claimed there was a world outside the building but nobody believed her and she was deemed insane. then we managed to get out, and everyone was like: "omg she was right!" there were strange bugs on the yellow grid there, with wings like sails sticking up from their backs. I jumped onto the little floating island and it plummeted to the ground far below. i grabbed onto the purple gemthingys and tried to jump up again. slowly the island glimbed upwards and i could set foot on the safe building again. off to the left of the painting the ground was black and with lava comming up from the deep.

      You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

      Awesome work. Nice perspective andgreat painting skills!
      What kinds of paint did you use? I especially like the blue fluid background with the broken white tribal lines across it in your last 1. How did you accomplish that effect? I love it.

      All the details and stuff is on the deviantart page, if you are watching me you can see. the paint is acrylic, but i accidentally mixed waterbased black in it, and it made the acrylic have a different texture, not shiny, but matte. the black became alot darker this way, and it still retained acrylic feel as it still didnt blend like gouache does, and i could paint over it when it had turned to that plastic like texture. the water, bubbly part was made by using lots of water in the acrylic on a blue background. the colour was basically just muddy water that i forecefully pushed onto the canvas, making small bubbles in the paint, and when it dried it would be all spotty. the gradient is just blended step by step on the canvas and not the pallette, the "tribal" pattern is something that i just let my mind make rather randomly, its painted by hand, no shapes or stuff, though the straight lines got help by pencil line and ruler... coincidentaly, i was playing a game where i saw similar patterns emerge from the way i build my cities...
