Welcome, MagicHunter! |
The next 2 attempts I've made finished with vibrations. |
Quick question. |
^^ I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. Since nausea isn't a standard example of the noise experienced during WILD, it could just be that you were indeed just a bit nervous about those sensations. |
Thanks Sageous, being a real beginner at this I literally just wondered if anyone had experienced it before as it seemed a bit odd, and thought perhaps if I knew why it happened it would help me avoid it next time. |

This morning, i woke up at around 6:00. Feeling quite tired, i decided to try WILD. Simple visualization wasn't working, so I imagined a sudden flash of blue light with accompanying bang. WHOAAAAA... I very distinctly feel the transition as i enter a lucid dream: a battle on the beach. Everything is just so real, and i am continually amazed by the complexity of this world. What follows is the single longest ld i've ever had: 45 minutes. The whole thing was so incredibly stable and vivid. I flew over the himalayas, had sex without waking up(better than the real thing), found my dream guide, and had a blast. Will try again tomorrow. |
these days (I mean these nights) after WBTB I entered short WILDs by focusing on written stuffs during dreamlets at the REM beginning, or just before the REM onset. |
^^ Interesting idea, focusing on written stuff, Kaan. That seems a good choice, both because it summons your attention in a sort of abstract, "I must be aware to understand what this says," sort of way. and also because you are tapping memory in the process as you try to make sense of what the writing says (and yes, you will likely do this automatically, even if the writing is gibberish). |
So, I've been ill for a long time and now I'm back on my intention to enter WILD the first time. |

Lately I've been getting back into WILD and FILD and getting a new sensation. I call it the warm tingles, and it's always accompanied by flashing/swirling colors, no breathing or fast, deep breaths, and increased heart rate. My breathing immediately makes me shift my focus to it, and the heartbeat is passively ignored easily. |

^^ Okay, here's the thing: None of those things, be they tingles, flashes, perceived changes in breathing or heart rate, etc, have anything to do with WILD, or LD'ing at all. Seriously. |
I had a couple of DEILDs last night. Traditionally, I haven't been good at DEILDing. |
^^ That is an excellent mindset, Dolphin; dreams as boomerangs seems a good metaphor to use, because it is easy to remember upon waking. |
I think that's a good analogy, too. I think I need to practice remembering that. I haven't been too good at DEILD myself so far, even though I frequently get burned by waking up, recording a dream, and then going right back into non-lucid REM within minutes because I wasn't expecting it. Even when I am, I still seem to be annoyingly good at losing both my lucidity and access to memory as soon as I hit sleep at present. |
^^You might try not recording the dream during one wake-up per night, Travis, and just dive right back into it... just hold still and wait for it to "boomerang" back to you, and do your recording next time you wake up (maybe you'll have a LD to jot down). |
I definitely think that's part of my problem. I often have a hard time being willing to potentially lose recalled dreams. Last month I woke from a LD, attempted DEILD without recording, but fell back into a NLD and almost forgot the LD entirely in the process (though it seemed to be a fairly low-level one, anyway). I think that if I can try it a few times (maybe after dreams I happen to not mind losing) and prove to myself that I won't forget the dreams as easily as I'm afraid I will it will become easier to let go, take the chance, and try it more often. |

Not quite a DEILD, but I think I woke up from a NLD and then went back into a DILD. I practically don't remember the actual awakening at all now, but I feel like I remember waking up from the dream and deciding to hold off on taking notes for a bit (probably with the intention of attempting DEILD). Apparently I then fell back into a dream where I eventually saw someone whom I happened to remember isn't alive anymore and realized it was a dream. |
^^ Yes, if it was a LD, then it certainly counts; no matter how you got there! |

Even though recalling for me has gotten better, I'm still having trouble entering lucidity while WILDing. There have been many times where I have encountered "dreamlets" (Hypnagogia) but I would always snap back out of them before they continued any further. Like, waking back up before going completely to sleep multiple times. |
^^ Actually, it sounds to me like you are fairly close to a sucessful WILD, MobianAngel. From your brief report, it seems that your mind is generally in the right place, since you have the dream in mind, but you still might be paying too much attention to the noise that accompanies a WILD dive. |
My first Wild with clasical mile stones recognised as they are clearly manifesting |
^^ That's great news, Patience; thanks for sharing! Your poise and, yes, patience, with your dive surely reflects a mindset that will work well for you in future dives -- nice work! |
WBTB went wrong last night, woke up more later than I should have, never mind that though I still attentped to WILD. |
