Tried DEILD and heart was beating like crazy.

I woke up from a dream and was in the perfect state to do a DEILD. I hadn't moved an inch and eyes were still closed.

I was in Sleep Paralysis, but I could hear my heart beat in my head/ears and it sounded like it was beating so freaking fast. Way faster than normal. It freaked me out so much that I forced myself to get up (thus ruining my attempt at a DEILD).

When I laid my head back down on the pillow, I could hear the faint sound of my heart beating and it sounded normal again.

So I laid back down and tried for a WILD, I entered into Sleep Paralysis again and I could hear my heart beating super fast just like before.

If my heart was really beating as fast as it sounded, I felt that it would be dangerous.

Was this rapid heart beat all in my head?
Is this a common experience when in the Sleep Paralysis mode?

I sometimes hear people describe Sleep Paralysis as there being a vibration.

Maybe I was confusing some audio vibration sensation with my heart beat? Anyone have any advice or comments on this?

it is fairly common in SP the illusion of the heart beating extremely fast, dont worry,it's all in your head

Ok, yeah. I probably should have done a search in the forum before posting this. I see that a lot of threads have been posted about this same thing before.

I guess I'm just paranoid that I'm going to have a heart attack or something.
It just sounded so unnatural...not even a pause between beats. Like machine gun fast. It really freaked me out.

So when this happens, do you just keep pushing forward toward the lucid dream anyway and once you enter the lucid dream, it will stop completely?

i think so, im not good at wilding, so i never really had this experience,but my LDing friends had and i think they just ignore it.

now think, how could you have a heart attack if it is a natural "thing"(forgot the word lol) that happens on your body every night? :p

i accidently had my first wild a few weeks ago after falling asleep on couch for half an hour then going to bed, when i became lucid,just moments after entering dream,i went for a quick flight but saw only jungle or forest then i remembered i wanted to go to space , i didnt know about the vibrations and loudness associated with it and thought it was all like a space shuttle kinda vibe and rush from entering space i woke up still vibrating and heart going,also in sleep paralysis,

then i went and read about wilding and realized these were all symptoms of wild and ive been trying WBTB since then.almost succeded again felt the vibrations and some hypnagogic but couldnt get thru to the dream stage ,,,i will definitely keep trying

Really? I've been trying to WILD lately and after awhile when I felt I was entering SP my heart starting beating really fast. I attributed it the fact that I was terrified of WILDing, so my heart rate was speeding up. I stopped after that, but if it's a good sign I'll try to go further.
