I haven't had a lucid dream yet. The thing with me is, when I try to have them, they don't work. But when I say, "Nothing is going to happen, whatever" and am tired and just go to sleep, thats when I tend to have them. For example:
It was late at night, and I didn't think I was gonna have a lucid dream, so I didn't try whatsoever, wasn't in my mind at all. I fell asleep, and suddenly, I was on my back porch steps, it was at night, and it was snowing. I was like "OMG, IM GONNA LUCID DREAM". You see, I instantly thought, this is a transitional phase, I'm gonna lucid dream in a moment. So I closed my eyes (I think) and said, "Shia Labeouf, Shia Labeouf, Shia Labeouf..." (I wanted to meet Shia Labeouf fyi). Everything was shaking and such and such and I was super excited and then I woke up. That's the closest I've ever come to a lucid dream I think. And then the next night, I was lying in bed, also not trying because I thought, I had a reallly good night yesterday, its not gonna happen again that soon and then the beginning stages were totally happening! (my brother came into my room so that ruined it though).
I KNOW when I'm going into one, its a feeling you can just tell. But I can't do it when I'm trying. It's so annoying. And I know as well that when I don't try, it happens, but that makes me try to not try, but I'm still trying. It's uber frustrating. Does anyone have any tips or maybe a different way of trying that could be more effective? Thank you!
