ok, so i tried to WILD last night and a few nights before. i layed down and relaxed, for about 20-30 mins. then i started experiencing HI, like normal people. then, i KNOW i was right there about to enter a dream or disconnect, when i get an impression of blackness on my eyes, like someone poured black on my eyes. then my eyelids start twitching and and even if i try to relax them, they still twitch. then, after a minute of insane twitching, it stops and i don't WILD. what the hell? i need help. thanks in advance! |

I also have this same problem. They even twitch so much that they start to open a tiny bit and I get disctracted out of everything. Then I have to start all over again. To get rid of this I try and stay calm more. I realized this mostly happens when I focus too much and end up wasting time.

I believe since your eyes twitch during dreaming (REM), your eyes may also do this during SP, since you're about to enter a dream. Wear an eye mask to prevent you from snapping out of SP if they do happen to open?

i think it might be because i was trying to wild right before bed, with having just got off my laptop. that might make it hard for my eyes to stay shut. i tried last night after being asleep, but i fell asleep lol. ill try again tonight.

I got that twitch once, I swear it was like a seizure or something. Felt like it lasted 2 minutes. I thought I was on the verge of entering a dream, so I just let it happen and then it eventually slowed down and stopped. I can't even blink that fast if I consciously try to. >_<

My problem with the WILD is nearly the same. My eyelids try to stay open, and if there is the slightest light in the room, I notice. Saliva is another issue that makes WILDing extremely difficult.
For the eyelids, I suggest a night eye-mask to cover your eyes and help keep them closed.

You might also want to try reverse blinking. Close your eyes for a couple seconds then take a quick peek with your eyes open, and repeat. Do that for a couple minutes if needed, or until your eyelids begin to tire a bit.
