      The black hole effect?

      On this thread link;

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...light=classico

      Someone mentioned a few methods that I found interesting, such as 'mental rundowns'. They provided a link that had information about 'mental rundowns' but it was a faulty link. There was some more links on the thread that I think I desperately needed in help with my WILDing.

      My other question is, how to overcome to black hole effect? (incase you didn't know)

      "The type of failed attempt I just had I like to call the 'Black Hole Effect.' You get relaxed, nothing extraordinary, and concentrate on your breathing. Hypnagogic images start to appear at some point, sometimes even with Low Defition Viewing- yet it fades and you suddenly realise "This isn't going to work" and get up... ofcourse the clock is ahead two hours and you have no idea what happened to that last hour."-Classico

      I've only partly succeeded in WILDing and that ended up in a false awakening. I just don't know how I got to that stage. Now when I try, I just encounter the black hole effect or drift off to sleep.

      How do I forget my surroundings and senses eg sight, hearing smell etc. How do I break away from the 'real world'. All the guides are so vague about it. My body drifts off and paralysis kicks in then I feel vibrations, then another set of vibrations and that as far as it goes. I either get into the black hole effect or don't feel like I'm going anywhere.

      Any techniques or information on how to overcome this, or better yet the techniques the members on that thread were talking about. Also, how long does it take for you to perform a successful WILD. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

      The only thing I'd recommend there is to try and create the dream around you. using visualisation, or conceptualisation to do so. I'm no pro though, so someone might give a better answer. Good luck though!
      good times
