      WILD insomia.

So i finally had a WILD a couple nights ago and it was amazing, but now i find myself having insomnia because i can't help but think about my conscious state of awareness even though i'm not trying to WILD when i first go to bed. I lay there with a sleeping body and an awake mind just thinkin, "go to sleep, rest already".. can anybody shed some light on this? I mean have other people had this before?

I'm only sleeping well when comes the time of the REM cycles...

      I've always had some insomnia.

Actually for me, trying to WILD helps me get to sleep faster. Because in order to do any WILDing I have to keep a clear and focused mind. My insomnia comes when my mind wanders out of control. I never fall asleep when that happens.

I think I know what your talking about though. Because after a particularly exciting DILD, I will be wide awake and have a hell of a time getting back to sleep. Because of being too excited and thinking about the dream.

i was trying to WILD everyday when i was going to bed (this don't work for me when i sleep 12h/day, only when i sleep less than 6h/day)...

Now it's like automatic...When i hit the bed, the thing that i think is "Don't move, don't think, you'll have a lucid dream"...

But now i'm fine, i'm backing to normal (it was more than 1 month being fucked up by this)...Tomorrow the school begins again, and i'll sleep less than 6 hours...

I'm happy cuz now i know that i'll have lucid dreams WHEN I WANT (at naps, at the first time i hit the bed, when trying to meditate)

Yeah, I've been suffering from this too, and I need sleep aids to help me rest.. very annoying.

      Any advice?

      Unhappy

I know, I have WILD insomnia myself. I focus, focus, focus on my external body. My neck doesn't feel good positioned that way, my legs, my feet, my arms, my head, etc. It is hard to get into that transcient, ready to enter a new world mode for me

Well yes, but I mean, when I want REAL sleep, not even wanting to WILD, I can't, I start to try WILD again and it is very annoying.

Just think about random things you would do dreaming whilst relaxing with deep breaths, if you really just want to get to bed.

Well i gotta agree with dreams 4 free, it's just about "day dreaming" while in bed. it's just because u think about not baing able to go to sleep or u concentrate on the HI or u concentrate on external things. U just gotta think about things u would during a daydream! and don't remind urself that it's a daydream or anything just go with the flow.

i had an ld today...I WBTB and i wasn't with the intention to WILD...

I begin daydreaming and puff...One time i was living my daydream and though "Shit, 2 minutes ago i was in my bed only daydreaming and now i'm in a lucid dream!!"

Maybe it's 'cause my visualization is perfect
