whats the best amount of time to sleep before waking up for a WILD? what in your experience is the best amount of time to stay awake after youve woken up before attempting the WILD?

Sometimes 30 mins, and sometimes 4 hours.....it depends on if I've had more than 4 hours of sleep.

Both vary by person. You have to find what works best for you.

Yeah, it varies from person to person, so you'll actually have to put forth some effort to figure that one out for yourself. I know, it's a terrible thing.

I'm lazy myself, so I can give you a bit of advice if you don't feel like setting an alarm or anything bothersome like that: try your first WILD/WBTB when you feel the least groggiest, after a natural awakening. Make a note of the time you woke up, and go from there.

Typically, you should try to do it later on at night. Every 90 minutes or so, you enter into the REM state. The first one lasts for about 10 mins, but they get longer each time. You should try it with about 6 or so hours of sleep. This will help you with something known as "REM Rebound", which will make your WILD be alot shorter, and make you go into the Dream State much quicker. It will also make your dreams last longer so that you can further enjoy a potential Lucid Dream.

That's not what REM rebound is at all. . .

You're thinking of interrupting a REM cycle part way through, which is something else entirely.
