Question DC Taking Control Of Dreams...

So had I tried Adam's WILD technique last night and it worked great. My alarm went off and after turning it off I lay in bed relaxing, fighting the urge to doze back to sleep. The problem is I had an amazing dream but no control in a later part of the dream except over my own thougts, reactions and what I said and how I moved. So here's what happened.

I eventually gained lucidity and decided to summon up a DC, but instead of him coming to me, I went to him. It was a dream scene that I had never seen before and I had no influence over the scene or even what I was wearing. My DC and I were ballroom dancing and he was talking to me like it was his dream not mine. I even did multiple RC's. I knew I was dreaming and I knew that I had been lucid and I knew it was MY DC, but still nothing.

It felt so incredibly real, and even after all my RC's the DC looked at me and said, something to the effect of, if this makes you so uncomfortable, having no control then I'll let you go and you can wake up. He kissed me and it felt so real, that I kissed him back. He then said goodbye and I woke up. I then did several RC's to be postitive that I was awake.

I've never had problems like that with being lucid. Generally, when I know I'm dreaming I'm instantly lucid and I have total control, but this was too wierd. I was thinking it might be because I had never tried this WILD technique before. Any thought guys?
I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect.~Oscar Wilde

Why "nothing", what did you expect to happen?

I was trying to take control over the dream environment, but I couldn't influence anything even though it was my dream.

Wow, thats weird, lol. Maybe you weren't 100% lucid ..or maybe deep down you wanted someone else to take control, to mix things up. I don't know, just my opinion, lol.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Sounds like a DC was playing tricks with you.

I have had Mr Money Banks pop up in a few lucids now.. Trust me what you describe is not even remotely as weird as it can get.

Even if one has blossomed and perfected dream control skills, it is possible that an unexplained mechanism will not allow you to do what you want.

Have you tried passive dream control?

You seem to have an urge to change it all up.

Keep in mind, you have the rest of your days to have another lucid dream, you shouldn't worry to much about what happens in your non lucid dreams.

Just a few thoughts for you...

Thanks guys. Passive control... I'll give it a try next time this happens. It's just the fact of having no control in an LD frustrates me to no end.

Sorry, I should have been more descrpitive like in my dream journal. I did RC's and I tried changing the color of my dress and changing the moon, and small details I tried to influence it in some way to try and gain some control over the dream. It wasn't a bad dream but when it's a dream and I'm lucid, no control really peeves me.

I see now, I thought that you were complaining that you couldn't try.

Well I don't always have control, too, although that depends on how much control you require. Good luck for future, I hope you'll have as much control as you want in your future dreams!
