      Few Questions About WILDs

Just have a few questions about WILDing.

First off, I have a question about noise. Where I sleep, there is a clock that ticks. There is also some noises from the outside (the occasional car). I can see the car jolting me awake, but the clock's ticking, is that preventing me from WILDing? I thought it may not since it is a constant noise, but then again it isn't really constant, since it ticks every second. I'm just curious, can anyone else out there WILD with a ticking clock in the background?

My second is about the noises people hear in SP. I have never experienced these noises. The two times I WILDed, I wasn't really that awake, only semi-awake, so I didn't feel anything from SP. But when I try to do it from being fully awake, I only get so far as vibrations. I've been told that after the vibrations stop you can exit, but it's never worked. I've had the vibrations, and they've ceased too, but have yet to experience any noise whatsoever. I can't seem to go past the vibrations, every time I try it just ends and I just end up lieing there. Is that normal for anyone? How can I relax more? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance to any replies.

I'm sure the clock is fine. I always sleep with noise in the room and that doesn't prevent me from having occasional WILDs. I don't try to WILD very often. The car might be bad if it is quiet for 5 minutes and then a really loud car comes along. The main WILD i remember having I felt three strong vibrations and then opened my dream eyes and everything was fine. Sometimes people use music to relax. I don't think you are missing anything, WILDing is just very hard for some people.

I'm sure you were looking for better advice than this... but I don't have it.

Just keep practicing, you aren't missing anything.

EDIT: You'd probably know if this is happening but sometimes I will attempt a WILD and it goes something like this:

      Start relaxing/doing nothing.
      HI starts to form, etc.
      fall asleep
      probably have a non-lucid dream
wake up without knowing that I fell asleep.

Sometimes I will think I had been laying for a long time but really I had fallen asleep.
