      WBTB x2 "technique"

      Hey folks,

I just had my second succesful WILD (the first one was about three weeks ago) and I discovered a little pattern that made it alot easier to me.

First of all, I should tell you that I try WILD using WBTB pretty often these days (maybe 4-5 times a week). Usually I get up after 5-6 hrs, hit the bathroom, lay back down and try to WILD, which usually leads to me staying awake in pain for an eternity (due to not moving) or just falling back asleep pretty quickly (non-lucidly that is).

However, the little difference this time and also the last time was the following. Instead of just relying on this one try, I set an extra timer about 90minutes after going back to bed the first time. I did not have succes the first time I tried to WILD, but at the second attempt 90 minutes later I INSTANTLY got the vibrations and was able to get out, I am talking about 1-2 minutes at max, no bodily pain involved.

I will certainly keep up this safety net for my future attempts and see if this really helps or if this was just coincidence.

Anyone else can confirm that this makes it alot easier to WILD? Any explanations maybe?

1-2 minutes. That's amazing. I'll have to try this myself. I think you should try it again a few times to see if you have repeated success, or if it was just a coincidence.

Wow! That's exactly what I decided to do next couple of days. And with the exact delay time - 90min. I noticed that my first dream (after WBTB) lasts about that amount. Later there is another and so forth.
I agree - why not to try it again the same morning? I managed to WILD succesfully ( during first sleep after 4.5h WBTB ) a couple of weeks ago but nothing happened since then
About the position - when WILD worked I laid on my back about 40min then turned to side and very quickly had HI and the rest.
My timing looks similar - I visit WC and come back to bed to WILD without waiting. I've never tried WILDing in the bathroom though
      Good lucky LDs then,

it almost sounds like you're doing a modified DEILD because of the second alarm and the reduced time falling asleep. sounds good... i use three alarms during the early morning - you really can't go wrong using staggered periods of wakefulness and sleeping to your advantage.

Good input, I was thinking about that too.
It certainly has DEILD qualities, I think the difference is that I dont slip back into the dream I was having before, it's more like starting a fresh WILD, concentrating on the rushing sounds in my ear and then starting over completely new. It kinda goes hand in hand I guess.

I will try this a little more in the future, of course it would be cool to successully WILD at the first try every time, but for now I am happy with anything that gets my success rate up.
