Every time when i use this technique, i become lucid within half hour. But i fear if it make any energy imbalance in my chakras or energy body. Is there anyone who use throat visualization regularly or know about this topic? |

Hey Anvish, I have read about the throat visualization technique in Andrew Holecek's Dream Yoga: Illuminating Your Life Through Lucid Dreaming and the Tibetan Yogas of Sleep. and I've come across it elsewhere too. Nowhere have I found any information suggesting that it could cause any kind of energy imbalance in any way. I think the main idea with throat visualization - at least for lucid dreaming - is to help train your mind to be able to focus in such a way as to diminish discursive thought and increase visualization abilities. In Holecek's book, it also suggests that you use a mantra-like anchor as you are attempting to fall asleep. The example he uses is "Tonight I will recognize my dreams to be dreams." Maybe others have different opinions, but I wouldn't worry about affecting your energy in a negative way while doing this type of visualization. I hope this helps in some way. Good luck! |

zelcrow i had LDs using throat visualization with and without wtbtb. i have tried it in the initial stage of sleep (in NON REM period) as well as after 4 and half hours of sleep. In both case i got 90% success. most of my LDs are achieved using this technique. i am asking about the side effect is because , when i use this technique that day i feel more centered and very alert. That means the technique is not just causing some Psychological effects but also some energy changes. Thats why i fear, if it make any energy imabalance . |

Wow Zelcrow, your knowledge seems to be almost endless! Are there any books on lucid dreaming you haven't read? |

Thank you very much, Darkmatters! I have spent a good bit of time reading about LDing so far, but I still feel like there's a lot more to learn. Where I feel I'm lacking most is experience, but I am working on that. |
