      help

Alright, let me explain my experience...

Friend of mine introduced me to lucid dreaming.. soo.. I looked up about it. And it sounded awesome, I have to admit. So I tried to attempt it with a WILD technique.

      WILD technique attempt 1:

After five minute of me resting myself on bed with my eyes closed, I started to see bit of geometric pattern and bit of static, like what you would get out of an old TV. I'd say that I started to have close eyed hallucination with my eyes closed.

Then It happened. I saw a freaky cymbal monkey clapping its cymbals so close to my face and bobbing its mouth open and close in very frightening way.
(similar to monkey from Call of Duty : Zombies )

I decided to ignore that freaky image and kept myself calm ( and little too much excited with my attempt on lucid dream )

My eyes started to twitch, disturbing my introduction to "WILD".. I tried to go with "flow". Eventally I gave up and I woke up.. My whole body was frozen for a millisecond then started to move with feeling of a light pressure on my head and chest as if someone sat on my upper chest for a while. I guess that's called "Sleep Paralysis" (SP). But I'm no expert, so.. anyone confirm this?

      My questions are:

      1) How to prevent my eyes from twitching.
      2) How close was I from lucid dreaming?
      3) What I had was a sleep paralysis?
      4) Any best advice to lucid dreaming for me? Anything that's helpful, really?

      1. I don't think there is a way. Try to ignore it is the best advice I can give.
2.The time varies from person to person. It also depends on when you started. If you begin when you first go to sleep, you could be waiting for an hour and a half. Try it after 5 or 6 hours of going to sleep, and you could be waiting less than a minute.
      3. Sleep paralysis is a disorder that very few suffer. You were simply remaining conscious as your body went into its rest stage (if there's a name for this, it escapes me). Perfectly normal, and it signifies that you are on the right track.
      4. Keep at it. Find out what time works best for you. Maybe try DILD.

      Hopefully, this helps.

Eyes twitching sounds like you are too awake. I would recommend checking out this WILD guide:
      http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ild-guide.html
      And
      http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ail-wilds.html

I have been trying WILD for about a year and a half and have about 1-2 true WILDs a week and I try it about... 3-5 times a night. It is fun, but it isn't as consistent as DILDs. I have put the same amount of effort into DILDs and have way more of them. I would recommend reading some tutorials around here about that as well. Tell me if you have any questions.
