      Wtf was this?

So, yesterday, since I was taking a long drive home from vacation, I decided to nap (also, I have no idea if this is of any significance, but I never nap. Excluding when I was 4 or younger, the only times I've ever napped was when I was sick with the flu, (twice. One for each instance of sickness) or during looong car rides (still, only 3 or 4 times ever, though.)) and try WILD since I've been trying D/MILD for 7 weeks now with no results.

Anyways, I finally fell asleep after who knows how long (I'm guessing about 20 minutes or so.) and then had kind of a lapse in consciousness, causing me to miss SP. (Or it's also possible that I didn't even reach SP at all. From then time I started trying to fall asleep to when I woke up, only an hour and 20 minutes had passed.) When I regained consciousness, I was either just reaching REM or starting the dream or whatever, or was in the process of waking up and kinda just paused it for a minute by becoming conscious. I was kind of my dreamself and awakeself at the same time. Like, I was aware of my presence in both worlds. I didn't really try to do anything with my realself (In fact I tried to block out my realself to try to make the dream last longer.) and I was too scared of waking up to try to just move normally as my dreamself so what I did was kind of just imagined my dreamself doing a thing to make them do it.

And, uh, that's about all you need to know. SO, is this just, not even anything at all, or was it the result of probably being woken up by my parents talking, or is this just a thing that happens in the beginning, just... what was it?
Does anyone else notice how many threads I start in comparison to how many regular posts I make? No? Yes?

Firstly, SP is not required for WILD, and even not related to lucid dreaming at all, there's huge misconception about it, i highly suggest checking out this thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html
For WILD you need to fall asleep while keeping awareness using an anchor, check out this highly informative WILD tutorial: WILD
As for the experience, it's not that rare to experience feeling both dream body and waking body at same time, weird things can happen in dreams, and it can be either feeling of near waking up or feeling triggered by thinking about waking body, or maybe just random dream schema going off!
