      Twitching eyes

So I honestly don't attempt wild too much and have never had one.

But I have this problem where if I do any visualization and I can start to see it materializing with the patterns of the darkness of my eyelids.

When I see this my eyes start to twitch, or just open a very little with no control on my end.

      Is this normal?

I am very curious myself on how to stop this. I have this problem every time and am never able to complete it due to the problem.

Try a different sleeping position, maybe on your side. Also, you're probably not putting enough pressure on your eyelids, put a light amount of pressure just enough to close.

Our eyes may start moving as we falling asleep, even before REM period. They don't do Rapid eye movement, they just move around a bit. This is what you perhaps experienced?
Stage N1 (Transition to sleep) – This stage lasts about five minutes. Your eyes move slowly under the eyelids, muscle activity slows down, and you are easily awakened.

Does stage N1 mean I was making some kind of progress for a WILD? and idk, I'm just laying there and see stuff under eyelids and either eyes move around on there own and slightly open.

N1 is the first stage of NREM sleep. That's when we are just falling asleep. We are technically already asleep, but if someone wakes us up at this moment, we would swear we were not asleep yet.

I would say it's a progress, in sense that you did notice this sleep stage. But if you were doing this without any prior sleep, you may get the lights and sensations, but a good quality dream is still long ways away. WBTB is best for a WILD, at least after 4.5 hrs of sleep.

It's possible that this eye movement will stop happening. Try at night with WBTB, it may be different.

I think I had a similar problem (and still do to some degree) it never used to happen, but then started all of a sudden. It plagued any attempt to visualise, or focus, or meditate, and no one seemed to have any answers. I don't think mine was the N1 as gab says, just from the fact that it happened at any point in the day when I tried to focus on my heartbeat or breathing. My solution was as London says above, if on my back, just turning my head to one side, it worked very well (I think lying on my side stopped it almost completely) but apart from that I think you're just not closing your eyes properly, try a little more pressure, though no too much, and see
