A few issues with attaining lucidity

Hey guys, just a few issues i've been having for a while with attaining lucidity.

Firstly, I've only had one lucid dream before. It was after spending a lot of time focusing on it and sadly after I had it I got distracted from lucid dreaming and I kinda fell off from there.

I wake up a lot after dreaming during the night but I feel I'm too awake when I try to WILD, then i focus on becoming relaxed and I just fall asleep again in an instant. It just feels as if nothing works for me and it kinda sucks to know I can do it but it feels like such a difficult task for me.

I'm just looking for any tips or words of wisdom from people who've been in my situation before or even those who haven't, any words would be appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to add that I can remember a lot of the dreams I have during the night but when it comes to drifting off again I just feel I don't have the skill to do so while still holding on to my awareness. I know a lot of people have probably posted with this sort of problem but everybody's different and i really need some help specific to myself.

      Yo.
For WILD, you just need to fall asleep while being aware, if you can fall asleep after relaxation it already good, now you just need to find the anchor that keeps you aware without preventing the falling asleep part. Also experiment with time and find the good time for WBTB when you can go straight into the REM.

Are you keeping a dj, and updating it every morning? As well as reality checking?

And not trying to sound rude but try changing the way your looking at it. Confidence is another major key. As well as practice and patience.

Don't forget there are other techniques as well. It's a matter of finding what works for you.

Definitely check out what Checker666 linked. Also, when you wake up in the night, you are doing WBTB right? How long do you stay up? Try to experiment with the amount of time you stay up and lessen it if you are too awake once you try to go back asleep. Also, avoid bright lights during the WBTB (tl;dr sleepiness chemicals in your brain will Be decreased so you feel much more awake)

      Good luck

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
