You don't have to worry about sleep paralysis, if you don't have sleep disorder with same name it is rare can only happen like once or twice through whole lifetime, if it ever happens, as much as i used WILD i never had true SP. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...explained.html 
As for the tips, the main tip of all is that for WILD you just need to fall asleep while being aware, don't forget that. Your sleep time seems to be ok for WBTB, from that you'll just need to find how much you'll stay awake to WBTB in the REM. As for the anchor, both anchors you mentioned are valid choices, but it really varies from person to person how good or bad an anchor is, just make sure it don't keeps you too awake and don't prevents the falling asleep part and experiment which anchor does the best job for you.
