First time trying WILD... what did I do wrong?
Hello! First time posting in a forum like this... I have been trying to get into Lucid Dreaming lately for many reasons - most of which I'm sure I share with almost everyone here!
I attempted to try WILD this morning despite my hesitation due to my many sites and resources warning of SP (which I do not want to consciously experience when not in a sound state of mind), because I had REALLY wanted to be lucid last night without much success. I'm sure part of my failure is attempting this after naturally waking up after a full night's sleep, and not having set an alarm.
I never sleep on my back, as I just hate being on my back in general, and have always slept curled up on my side. I had gone to the bathroom after waking up naturally, and then I remember trying to go back to sleep after 20 minutes with the intention of trying to become lucid. I remember my hands and feet going numb. I ignored it, because I knew nothing was on top of them and nothing was restricting my circulation, and I also remembered that I had to stay really still in order to maximize my chances of this working. Eventually after what felt like a half an hour, I actually FELT my entire body go numb while I was completely, 100% conscious. Like all of my weight no longer mattered, like I was floating. I also felt my eyes moving very very fast, while still being aware that my eyes were closed. I kept telling myself that yes, this was my body going to sleep, this was awesome. I saw rough darker outlines of blobs in the "darkness" of my closed eyes, and kept trying to envision myself "waking up" in a dream world so try and push myself there, but.... it never happened. It felt like I was trying to envision my dream world for about 5 minutes, but when my body decided to give up, it was an hour later. :( Bummer.
I didn't open my eyes in fear that this would either put me in a) SP, or b) wake me up from my attempt. :(
