Instant lucid dream from dream:O

Well I wasn't sure where to put this, because I am not really sure what happened exactly. But anyway, a few days ago, I went to sleep and dream't about my school (Even though it's currently the holidays). When at school, I thought that maybe it was for revision, because I realized there was still at least 2 weeks holidays left before the final HSC exams begin. Then suddenly I'm told, they've had to shift the exams forward and it was today:O And I was panicking, saying like "Why did the board of studies do this and not even notify us about it?!?!", some teacher that I'm never even met before, was just like "I guess they just like to do these things sometimes". Suddenly all the teachers are gone, no students, noone is around anymore. I'm really worried here, but then suddenly my deputy principal comes up to me and says "Daniel you need to get to the library right now because your Maths exam is about to start". So I race to the library and Mrs Carpenter (Who doesn't even work there now, thought I took no notice of it), gives me the exam paper. I start reading all the questions and have absolutely no clue what any of them are, they were incredibly complex equations that I had never seen before. They seemed somewhat familiar to me, as if I had seen it before somewhere in real life (probably on some TV show or video or something), but I had no clue what to do here because this wasn't even part of the course at all. Then for some strange reason as I turn the page, it turns to English exam or something o.O And then I see the words Robert Monroe among a heap of other random words on the page which make no sense. I looked up at the clock and noticed it was now 9PM O.O, and suddenly I look outside the door from where I am sitting and notice it's dark. There's no teachers here now, but outside I can hear junior school students outside. (Amazingly I still didn't realize this was a dream yet lol), I put down my test for the moment and go outside wondering why on earth it's so late, where my parents where to pick me up...as I go outside something weird happens the kids jump into some kind of bonfire in the bushes or something but don't seem to burn up...well then I woke up after that but didn't open my eyes, and was suddenly lucid (probably due to realizing that none of this seemed to make any sense whatsoever lol). I didn't want the dream to end, so in the blackness of my eyelids I focused back on the school and sure enough I was back there again, this time fully lucid. I tried levitating here but couldn't seem to get off the ground. I saw some kids like cross-legged on the ground levitating though and asked them how they were doing it. "How do you levitate like that?" One of them said "I focus on the inward energy", then I said "okay..." and sat next to them in the same cross-legged posture and focused on inward energy...then I felt a surge of energy go through my body as I felt myself lift off the ground. Unfourtantly...as I closed my eyes I woke up in real life too...not sure why, but I am guessing the same blackness I was seeing triggered my body to awaken too or something:S But probably was just a coincidence I woke up at that point too. anyway know what this was? Like has any else been able to enter straight back into the dream? Really strange but awesome too, I hope to this again because it was really cool but sometimes dreams are really weird like this one hahaha

Nice experience. It was a DEILD (Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream). It happens, when you wake up from a dream, stay still, don't open your eyes, may/may not visualize your previous dream or something else and you enter new dream Lucidly. It's a great method of restarting a lucid, if one that you in ends, or getting lucid after regular dream ends (what you did). You can chain your LDs like this. As gab said it was a DEILD I usually see the dream form right infront of me when I close my eyes after an awakening as well. It goes from the hypnagogic state (random thoughts like: PURPLE GOATS ARE HEALTHY!) to daydream to an even more vivid daydream where I can feel, see or hear something for just a split second until I notice that I am no longer daydreaming, but dreaming! Cool experience as well by the way
