I guess I did it?
This morning I attempted a WILD. I woke up, went about my morning for an hour and then proceeded directly to bed with the intention of remaining mentally conscious while I entered the dream world. This what happened:
I laid down to sleep. It was difficult at first to turn off my overly awake mind enough to lapse into unconsciousness but eventually I could feel my body relaxing. I also got this weird taste in my mouth that tends to happen right as I am about to fall asleep. I began to see white flashes in the darkness of my vision and I could tell that my arms and legs were becoming more and more numb. Suddenly, the white flashes became faster and faster until they climaxed in a very bright white flash... how I entered the dreamworld is lost on me but I suddenly entered where I wanted to be: an airport. The lights were bright fluorescent and I had almost all of my senses (with the exception of taste and scent, which I was not actively using). I determined straight away that I was dreaming and began to explore the airport, actually, my first thought was what I came there for: to find my lost love, whom I last saw at an airport some time ago :\. All I really wanted to do was to hug her and tell her that I loved her. I tried to summon her, but to no avail, then I decided to wander around and to see if she would appear. I could feel myself being lost in the dream world so I began to rub my hands together which grounded me in the conscious experience of lucid dreaming. I began to talk to an airline receptionist who informed me that if I were to crawl through the baggage claim I would find what I was looking for. As I approached the baggage claim, I lost lucidity and began to dream as if everything was actually happening to me (unfortunately). I tried to ride the carasoul into the baggage area but instantly became afraid that I would be crushed in some machinery, so I turned around and tried to escape. The conveyor belt was suddenly very steep and I could not climb back out, but instead was sucked inside and wrapped around layers and layers of rubber... I woke up :(
I guess I did it then?

Yup, you determined that you dreaming, that means Lucid, baby! Congrats!
That's my favorite method - get up in the morning for an hour or so and go back on sofa. Happy dreams:alien:

Nice! Sounds like an exciting And successful WILD! :) congrats

Good job, that's it!! I completed my first successful WILD about a week ago, so I can relate. Exhilarating moment, right? :)

The layers of rubber sounds like the last bit of sleep paralysis and you becoming conscious of it before you woke. I had this just two nights ago, except I dreamt my dog (a huge Alaskan Malamute) was lying on me and I couldn't move, as well as getting mouthfuls of her moulting fur! After struggling for a few moments I began to realise what it really was and stopped. This way, I was actually able to stay in the dream a bit longer. Anyway, congrats. This is my first post too, although I've been lucid dreaming for a while now.

Congratulations to your success! I like the fact that you managed to stabilize once aswell:).
Good luck with your dreaming, Tucane

Haha I am so jealous! I have been trying to WILD the past month and I keep falling asleep. But I'm learning from DV and my experiences. But yeah! Congratulations!

THe more I read about WILD the more obscure it becomes to me.
I try to lie there, motionless. Sometimes I see a little light, sometimes I feel my eyelids moving on their on, and I'm always stuck at that point. What should I do? WHat should I expect? It's so hard to me!

I've read that when your paralized try and jump up, do a RC and sometimes you will be in your dream body
