      WILD sleep paralysis problems

When I attempt a WILD, I am able to reach sleep paralysis almost every time. The problems are as follows:
      1) The sleep paralysis does not actually paralyze me and I am only slightly able to feel the symptom of heaviness that a lot of people have
      2) this is the biggest problem I have with doing WILDs. As well as the wave of slight heaviness and the feeling of falling I get when I first enter sleep paralysis, I also experience a horrible ringing of the ears. It is very painful and after the initial wave of it, it continues, and every time it happens, the time between them gets shorter until it happens every few seconds.
      3) this may be because of the inability to concentrate because of the above problem, but when I finally enter the dream, I have a very bad connection to it, and can't seem to fully separate my dream body from my physical body. Also, the ear ringing doesn't stop because I'm still so aware of my physical body. Please reply to this if you think you know what's going on or have any suggestions.

      1) When you first enter SP the feeling is likely not to be very intense, especially the heaviness. Unfortunately the only way to truly tell if you're in SP is to try to move. If you can't, you're in SP but you just took a step back in the WILD process. If you can, well, you just threw away your attempt . Just embrace what little feeling you do and up experiencing and try to move further into the HH and eventually the dream.

      2) This is a form of HH (hypnogogic hallucinations) though a very annoying one. Just keep in mind that all these sounds are just in your head and if you focus enough (not too much, though, or you'll mess up the attempt) you could probably make them go away. However I would welcome the ringing as a sign that a dream is almost there.

      3) Try waiting a little bit longer before you move or start the dream. This way your brain is completely asleep (except for the lucid part ) and the dream is completely formed. If the dream still feels a little fuzzy or hazy try stabilizing by focusing on your surroundings, truly immersing yourself in the dream, and possibly rubbing your hands if you feel you're in the dream enough. By focusing on the dream and forgetting about your physical body this will also help with the ringing and any other outside stimuli that may be interrupting your dream.

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions feel free to ask .

I also hear very painful ringing and feel people dragging me from my bed when WILD, but it's my only successful way of lucid dreaming for me so far. However every time I fail because it is so painful when someone is holding very hardly on my body and the very loud voices, anyway I'll try to ignore it as much as I can next time. I will instantly tell your solution when I know it, hopefully very soon..

Thanks XaldiN, that's the only technique that has gotten me close to LDing as well, and I'll post the solution here if I find one.

Ever since this post I have not experienced the loud ringing. I am not entirely sure whether this is because I haven't reached SP, or the fact that it was psychological. Either way, thanks Burke! XaldiN, I'm sure you've heard this before, but try completely taking your mind off of SP, and convince yourself that its not going to happen with those bad hallucinations. Repeat to yourself that it won't happen and it could help.
