WILD help/Idea
Ok guys, it's 5:20 in the morning and I just attempted a WILD. I had some problems. Let me describe it and maybe you can help me out for next time.
I wake up, realize i need to use the restroom and go. Then i get a small glass of water and go back to my room. I lay down and try to let my mind drift. I don't do well at the drifting part, but after a while my body is numb and I start feeling some slight vibrations. But at this point I don't have control of my eyelids. They open up and I'm just staring at the roof. I don't know why. I didn't want to open my eyes, and I don't think they normally do that. I also was breathing heavily. I still can't figure out how to not breathe heavily when the vibrations hit and seem to make you need to breathe more.
Also, I was thinking, why isn't there a "Common WILD problems/solutions" thread at the top of WILD. I think it would be a good idea, what do yall think? Maybe stop with all of these people asking about the same problems everyone else has. Alot like mine.

false awakening? do an RC, but you probably did.

You might need to try a sleep mask for the eyes. Turning your head to the side might help with the breathing effort. I suspect the soft tissues of tongue and muscles are slipping back and with your head turned to the side this won't happen. Breathing, even if fast, will become easier.
Some meditation or relaxation while up during the day might also help decrease anxiety when you have these moments at night. Tell yourself that you are well. Tell yourself, "It's all good."
As for the common solutions/problems...we do have stuff like that in the WIKI and all over the forum. Many people don't notice, don't read, and while we can direct people to these places it can't always replace direct response. People like having their questions answered personally, and that's why this forum is here.
We do encourage all members to read through the tutorials, guides, and lists of common issues found in the WIKI and also linked from the front page of dreamviews.com
Happy dreaming!

Thanks. I'll try using a mask. But I do try to calm myself down when i notice my breathing. I try relaxing, but it never seems to help. I just eventually have to breathe in very heavily and that usually throws me off. And ya, I almost forgot about the wiki.

Isn't the deep breathing supposed to happen when you fall into SP since your body thinks your asleep? I say just go with the heavy breathing and for the staring at your roof thing you should of done a RC since you most likely had an FA.

It wasn't. I did do a RC after i got up. I probably should have mentioned that, but ya it wasn't a false awakening.
