      Amphetamines preventing WILD?

I have ADD, so I'm prescribed to take Adderall, can this amphetamine drug prevent me from WILDing? Every time I try to WILD, I end up laying in my bed for hours, I go into SP, and after that Nothing happens. I don't even have Hypnogogic Hallucinations anymore. I used to be able to see images in my head more the very first time I started trying WILD.

Amphetamines definitely have a negative affect on your ability to sleep, let alone dream. Adderall is speed, and while I understand that you've probably been taking it for a while and are used to the effects it has, you probably wouldn't be able to achieve the same kind of lucidity with another, opposing supplement. This is sad since I wouldn't usually recommend doing so based on my own experience, but I am positive you could find something naturally sedative like kava kava, valerian, passiflora, etc., but I urge you to either quit taking Adderall altogether because I don't agree with its overall use and potential for abuse (only my opinion), and find an alternative. Please don't find anything synthetic to counter its affects, but I am quite confident your problem is a direct result of taking dextroamphetamines.

Thank you. While I agree with you on it's potential for abuse (I have a friend that abused it and is now addicted to it, generally taking about 90-100 milligrams every time he takes it.) I have no interest in using more than I need. I only take 20 milligrams, and that's all I need to take. I've tried natural medicines, but they don't help me focus. I wanna say the reason I can't WILD is because the medicine makes me focus so much that I simply cannot fall asleep. If I'm not trying to WILD I fall asleep perfectly fine, no problems at all. It's only when I attempt to WILD that I have the problem of falling asleep.

I have ADD too and I'm on Concerta 16mg. But I take it in the morning and by the time I get home from school it's worn off. So try a WILD on a day where you don't have to do anything and do not have to take your Adderall. Don't listen to Phion when he says quit Adderall, I know it sucks to not be able to read a paragraph before your in a nice daydream or zoned out lool

True, for some reason I often misjudge things like this because of my own past.

Lol yeah it definitely sucks not being able to focus. Especially when you're reading something interesting, only to find yourself reading three or four times, not because it's so interesting, but because you have no idea what the hell you just read.. LOL

I typically try not to judge others, I've always been judged, and I've always judged myself. Up until now at least. I smoked cigarettes for 6 years, so addiction is something I'm familiar with. It's something I wouldn't wish on anyone, and for anyone able to overcome an addiction, well kudos to them! Not a lot of people realize how tough it can be to overcome an addiction.

Thanks for your replies, I'll try going without it one day, just to see how much it makes a difference.

I got ADD aswell and I am taking methylfenidaat. My doctor said that I shouldnt take this medicine after 4 pm because it can prevents me from falling asleep in the evening. But one day I took an afternoon nap after consume the medicine because I was tired. What happened afterwards was kind of funny. I started to have dreams, then I quickly wake up. But my body is completely in sleep paralysis so I cant move at all. I didnt know it was sleep paralysis, I thought it was because I was laying on my blood vessels. After ten seconds I can move again. Then I go to sleep again, got another dream, wake up again and got myself into sleep paralysis again. This happened 5 times in a rowl lol, it was probably the first time I ever got SP. So yeah, medicine can have some effect on your sleep. I was thinking of using this medicine to do WILD, because I cant seem to reach the SP stage normaly. but I dont know if it may have any negative effect so I didnt try a second time .
