First make sure when you get up for WBTB you wake up enough. Don't do exercises or anything, but wake up a little.
Second, Do your WILD in a position that does not allow for easy comfortable sleep. I do mine on my back, with one knee brought up on one side. It is comfortable enough for WILD, but not how I would normally sleep. If I feel the urge to roll over on my side, I know that doing it is the same as giving up. I repeat, moving from your position, is giving up. As long as you stay on your back or in the posture you choose you can succeed, but moving out of it is giving up.

That makes sense, but most tutorials I've been trying to follow suggest moving positions after around 7-10 minutes?!?! Do you know of any other tutorials???

Hmm, I have not heard of that. Maybe a slight shift, but it is counter productive. If you shift to a position you would normally sleep in, it is going to be over. I may switch which knee I have raised, or the position of my feet, but I would not turn to my side, because I know I will really fall asleep then.

Try it on the couch, or on the floor. Somewhere you will be less comfortable.
