      Rem time?

I'm setting an alarm for deild. I know it has a lot of variables and might take a few attempts to get, but we're would be a good place to start?

If I go tO bed at 11:00
Would 5:00 be likely to be in rem?

5A.M. would likely be at the end of the first sleep cycle.

I am quoting the DEILD Tutorial from the DV WIKI

Set it to go off after between 3-6 hours of sleep. You'll have to experiment to find the best time for you. If you want, you can also set it to go off every half hour after that, to give you a greater chance of waking from a dream.
Visit the tutorial and read over it. Get an idea of what to expect and think about your normal sleep schedule and how the technique fits in.

In humans, the average length of the first sleep cycle is approximately 90 minutes and 100 to 120 minutes from the second to the fourth cycle, which is usually the last one.[

We only spend about 20% - 25% of our time actually in REM sleep...the rest consists of NREM sleep and typically isn't useful for LDs. That's why LDs occur more in the morning hours than late at night.
