      Losing Hope

Ok so im not that new to the whole lucid dream thing ive had them before but im really interested in the wild technique combined with wbtb i dont know what i am doing wrong. I stay sleep for 4.5 hours then wbtb and nothing happens for like a whole hour i mean i thought it was to be easy technique but nothing is happening. Then i changed it to 7 hours did wbtb same thing happened.

      * I DO EVERYTHING THEY TELL ME TO DO for example 1. im not to anxious 2. i dont concentrate on my body 3. im relaxed ( BUT ANY WAY CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IM DOING WRONG )

I know exactly how you feel. Can anybody tell me if its possible to WILD when you go to sleep at first at night? Because the WBTB isn't working. I woke up and stayed relatively still fro 20 mins, and tried it. Nothing happened, and I just felt really uncomfortable.

The thing I believe helped me the most was my sleeping mask, having a pitch black backdrop for my eyelids has helped me identify imagery. I've only had one WILD but it was after two weeks of practice.

The other thing that helped me was napping mid day. Every day after work I set aside an hour to take a nap. My first successful WILD was in my 3rd REM cycle during night time sleep after WBTB. I naturally wake up after each REM cycle but this chart helped me realize I was waking up after my REM cycles REM Cycle Chart!

I do not know if this is related to my WILD but the past 5 days I've been practicing all day awareness. From this I've been having consistent layer 0 lucid dreams, this may have played a factor in getting my first WILD.

      Happy dreams!

If you want to attempt WILD right when you go to bed I'd suggest mid day naps. I was just as anxious but you really have to focus on your REM cycles.

Go for another technique. MILD or DILD are great aswell.
