      Continuously failed WILDs

For a while I've been attempting to gain lucidity using WILD, and the first part comes quite naturally. My body goes completely numb and I feel COMPLETELY relaxed. I'm never too excited, However I can never fully make that transition into WILD. At first I thought it may have just been a stroke of bad luck but this is too continuous. I've read all the facts on WILD but I can never seem to successfully do it. The state that I get into is comparable to extremely deep meditation.
In fact, I'm just coming from a failed afternoon WILD attempt.

So my question is, What am I doing wrong? :-( And what can I do to break this streak of non-lucidity?

You seem to be familiar with meditation like me. The relaxation part is easy for me but I too have problems transistioning into the SP phase, I was told to pay attention to these hynotic images that appear in your mind's eye and as you pay attention to these images, they get more vivid. It gets to the point where you either see a really vivid dreamlike image, hear a ringing noise in your ear or you get bursts of energy passing through your chakras. After your relaxed, try and be aware of these hynotic images but don't focus otherwise you'll fall asleep or you can visualize your own images as long as your transistioning into the interior reality. This all I can offer and goodluck

Thank you and yes I'm an avid participant in meditation. Though I've noticed that I experience every symptom of WILD except for, well, lucid dreaming.

After reading some recent WILD tutorials, I forgot to mention that the most important key in WILDing is to 'fall asleep, while maintaing consciousness in the dreamstate'. People say they are able to WILD easier through sleeping than to wait for it to happen. This thread is very helpful to solving your WILD attempts http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/why-you-fail-wilds-96892/

This happens to me, but it feels like the really vivid image/sounds/surge of energy runs through my body, peaks, then fades, leaving me in a deep meditation state (note if I really focus, I can still move, so not full sleep paralysis). This 'surge' can happen 4 or 5 times before this really strong urge to sit up/move my arms eventually overcomes me. I try to fight it, but it can get quite strong. Every night I can last longer without giving in, but it is pointless if Im not going anywhere in the dream

A lot of problems I know, but any help would be greatly appreciated
