Make sure your timing is right. Identify a time when you normally dream, then aim to be relaxed and mid-WILD as you hit that time frame. You can adjust your wake up time, or the length of your WBTB. Just make sure you are falling back to sleep as you are entering a REM cycle. You also want to practice relaxation techniques. You need to be insanely relaxed. You are so relaxed, you can barely keep yourself from falling asleep. You can definitely practice this as you fall asleep at night, even though it won't work as planned. Just don't get frustrated when it doesn't work.
