      Wild entry

recently i have been trying to wild, no success yet, but anyway, lastnight i tried to wild, my hypnagogia wasnt that great but i still saw random colourful shapes, they werent realy progressing so i decided to just go to sleep, i remember thinking really random thoughts like a big dog in a green pool ect as i was on the verge of sleeping, i was barely awake when something wierd happend, i think almost enterd a dream through visualisation, it was a scene in italy, like a fruit and vege market forming out of blackness and fluxuating in vividness, i hadnt visualised the scene, it just came to me and a must have realised it was a dream scene taking form, so i hopped aboard and tried to ride it into the dream, it was an intense feeling but slipped away and i came to full conciousness. i dont think i was in SP, but correct me if im wrong, i was wondering if you could enter a lucid dream through visualisation without being in SP, thanks.

Your body gets paralysed when you dream, not the other way around. So yes keep working on your visualisation and you should soon start to see some progres People sometimes just use the term sleep paralysis the wrong way and they are actually just describing a fully relaxed body.

And that is why threads like "What to do after sleep paralysis?" comes.

What I have noticed in most of my attempts is that, when I really thought I was in sleep paralysis almost all of the times I was already dreaming!

Visualisation is a good way to WILD, because when you have a vivid scenario in your mind and are aware of that it is you that are controling what's happening like that you are in a different place, it's easier to notice that you have started dreaming. You will feel a different kind of awareness when that happends.

But be prepared for false awakenings as well. In order to see if you are laying in a dreambed or your real bed you can use something called indirect techniques. Which can both work as a movement free realty check, but also as a DEILD technique.

When you are trying WILD and feel a sensation, try to amplify it and when it peaks you can get out of your bed, because you are then dreaming. It can be any sensation like vibrations, sounds, images and so on.

      I hope this helped

      Good luck!

Exactly! Sleep paralysis only occurs in REM sleep. If you are in sleep paralysis, you are already dreaming. You are either just entering, or just exiting a dream.
