      Was this SP?

Hey, last night I went to sleep normally and didn't do WBTB since it's weekdays and need sleep. But I just layed still and stayed awake to test it out anyway. I wasn't expecting a WILD.

So I was laying there and my arms in particular started feeling very heavy and numb. I couldn't feel my pinky at all? So I didn't get any visual hallucinations but I did hear 2 to 3 sounds over a what felt like a 5 minute gap inbetween. I was laying there for ages.

So I heard some bang that felt close to me, possibly some bubbling and some scurrying (not sure) lol

The other two things were me suddenly jerking with no control over it jerking my legs up. I also felt like I was lifting up in general.

Was this actual sleep paralysis? It didn't get any further than that such as visual ones or feeling other stuff or having a dream scene fill my vision. I sort of noticed my eyes opening a little bit and thought that it might be my dream coming into vision but I did reality checks and it was not a dream .

I can try WBTB on the weekend and once I do my polyphasic sleep schedule I just have 3 naps a day. What do you all think?

Note: Also, simply thinking about dreaming I remembered two dreams although what I remembered weren't very long. I plan on doing the Sporadic Awareness Technique with DILD and possibly MILD but mantras and such are awkward to me. See how WILD goes.

If you're unsure whether or not you were in sleep paralysis, it wasn't sleep paralysis. All things you described happen in NREM sleep, and as soon as you enter REM you'll experience sleep paralysis (to me, it feels like my whole body vibrates). Then, you'll transition into a dream or just snap out of the paralysis.

Try WBTB, as you said (before you switch sleeping schedules). I don't know much about polyphasic sleeping, but since it's possible to WILD during naps as well, it shouldn't be a problem. It's likely that you're going to have DILDs too, so SAT will work wonders (I practise SAT right now). And why not try MILDing, too?

By the way, I saw your post in another thread (about hallucinations during SP). I just wanted to tell you that you don't need to worry. Hallucinations aren't real (of course), so they can't harm you. Also, all people don't see scary things when they WILD. I've never done that, and I don't think I ever will.

Yeah, thanks for that. I just wasn't sure.

Yeah SAT and DILD seems most likely for the way I think, not sure what it is but it appeals to me to be the most effective But yeah, I will give everything a shot.

About the hallucinations, even though they can't hurt you that's still really scary . Most people don't have that dramatic hallucinations though. Thanks again.
