Really Odd Wild? Or was it not a WILD? D:

Last night I think I came the closest ever to a successful attempt after reading that you're not actually supposed to move your eyes during a WILD!
I was lieing for at least an hour and I would get to the part where my heart beat really loud as if it would burst, but when I noticed it in any way, it would disappear and then return when I calm down more. So, at some point I think I fell asleep with really little consciousness (cause I didn't notice) but enough that I THINK I was in a lucid dream.
Here's a description of what it was:

Everything was black, I did a reality check that failed (push fingers through hand) and woke up. It felt REALLY unstable. I didn't even have enough time to notice it was a lucid dream. (Only after I woke up I had the thought). After that I tried again but couldn't. Just lied in my bed for 3 hours.

So uh... Yeah. I'm disappointed but ready to try again. Where is the problem? What happened? Thanks in advance!

The heartbeat transition is certainly very distracting. Even though the feeling is intense, try to focus on building a dream space in your head. Also, if the sensations end and you didn't do anything to change them, that's a pretty good sign you're in a lucid dream. Sounds like you needed to concentrate a little more. Also, the pushing fingers isn't all that reliable. Try pinching your nose--if you're dreaming, you can breathe through it. Spend a few seconds before you move visualizing your surroundings. If you're dreaming then you'll be able to open your eyes into the world you imagined.
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.

What makes you think there's a problem? Sounds like you successfully transferred into the dream but it wasn't a full WILD. For it to be a complete WILD as the name states Wake Initiated Lucid Dream- you must become lucid right away in the dream coming from a conscious state. You were so close, though! When did you try your WILD attempt?
Try and go over the details to yourself what you done in this WILD attempt differently to other attempts, because you obviously done something right.

Umm, it was after 6 hours of sleep, I usually do it after 4. Maybe that was it? Anyways, I actually (unfortunately ) don't remember how I did it. I remember WILDing though and having problems with falling asleep, It was a sequence of WILD's and it was the 3rd attempt. (I would WILD and then fall asleep and wake up 5 minutes later and WILD again with the same result. Third times the charm huh? )

Yup! Most people work out where their WILDing "sweet spot" is. Personally, I need about 5 hours sleep and the bigger the WBTB, the bigger my chance of getting into a WILD
