When should I try WILD in nap?

I've heard of a lot of people being able to WILD during a midday nap. When should I try this? How many hours should I be awake before I try to nap? Is it difficult?

I've only tried it once and I got to the SP part somehow. I didn't make it through completely though. (Although I think it's because I moved my eyes xD)

I read that, just like you should wait 4-6 hours after you fall asleep, you should wait 4-6 hours after you wake up to hit your peak REM. But I usually just nap when I feel most tired. The relaxation portion is very important in a nap since you're going straight from a vivid, active day to sleep. It might take longer to quiet your mind.
