Just try to stay calm. A lot of the times when we stress ourselves out, we can't LD/WILD. So just be calm and confident that it will happen again! |

After 3 weeks of trying to use WILD, I did last night! but honestly i dont even remember how i did it. i woke up and fell asleep, then there was a weird ringing, and i was in! but why have i never been able to do this before? i mean it took barely any effort, and I have spent hours waiting to hear that ringing! i dont think i could do it agian, so what did i do accidentally right? |

From my rotting body,
flowers shall grow
and I am in them
and that is eternity.
-Edvard Munch
It worked because you were not expecting or waiting for the ringing to come to you. You just let it flow naturally. The whole point of a WILD is to maintain the least bit of awareness while falling asleep. Staying up for hours trying to WILD and waiting for SP symptoms to kick in will keep your mind active thus not allowing you to fall asleep. Instead try visuallizing a dream scene but don't concentrate on it to much. Let the picture flow naturally almost like a day dream but with the slightest bit of awareness. if you do this successfully you will transfer into a dream. You may also experience sleep paralysis symptoms as you visualize but just let it flow. |

That's exactly how I WILD. I'm still working on replicating the results. But it feels like my HI (vibrations) almost wakes me up from sleep. What I've been doing is reading dreamviews before bed, and while I sleep I'll think about my dream and where I want to go, who I want to meet, etc. Then when I wake up in the night, I sort of drift in and out of sleep, and somewhere in there I sometimes manage to WILD. |

I have never had a lucid dream and I have tried using wild for the last week and I have ran into two problems falling asleep or not beeing able to relax and keep my eyes closed yesterday I tryed it for over an hour and dident move and I only got to the pont were my body went num |

I have some tape should I use that to keep my eyes closed |

Gosh, no. If you have trouble keeping your eyes closed, let them be open until you get tired enough that they close on their own. You can also try reverse blinking. I think that WILDers shouldn't stray too far from how they fall asleep naturally. For example, I can only WILD on my side because the supine position is so uncomfortable (despite so many people saying you can only WILD on your back). You want to reach a naturally and deeply relaxed state. Also, don't be cataloging everything you feel. You want to be barely mentally present. |

What should I focus on staying awake or tring to picture a sene |
|
I think it's best to focus on a dream scene, but like iFatal said, you should focus on it only slightly. Don't give up, I'm still trying myself and I get frustrated as well. But I think I'm getting closer and closer to figuring out what works for me. |
