      WILDs and Restless Legs...

Let me preface this by saying that I've successfully had two WILDs. I know what they're like, what the sensations are and that they're difficult to achieve.

      BUT.

I've always been pretty restless of an evening and have great trouble lying still. More and more in the past couple of years I've had irksome cases of restless legs but can get to sleep alright eventually.

Recently though, it's as if my body has developed a chemical protection against achieving SP and therefore WILDs.

I'll be lying there and after a period of time (usually around the 30 minute mark, but lately it's been getting to as low as 45 SECONDS!) I have an unavoidable, insatiable, impossibly uncomfortable need to move my legs. It's not the usual itching feeling you can get when your body is testing its wakefulness; it's almost like a
thick, concentrated, pure-discomfort gel is slowly filling up from the bottom of my calves to the top of my thighs and into my stomach. I can actually feel a chemical reaction occur in my body when it starts to happen and my skin feels weird (like I'm going to start sweating, or my blood pressure drops or something) and my soul basically starts crying. Eventually if I clench my butt briefly it stops but only for about a minute. After I inevitably give up, my whole body feels horrible and uncomfortable for up to a couple of hours.

It's literally making reaching SP impossible and ANY advice or similar stories would be very warmly received!

      Thanks!

The restless legs might have nothing to do with your WILD attempts. You might be developing restless leg syndrome. This runs in my family but luckily it happens to me very rarely. "Thick, concentrated, pure-discomfort gel" is a great way of describing that feeling. Lol. One thing I've noticed with the restless legs is the more attention I pay to them the worse they get. Trying to hold perfectly still while this is happening will only make it worse. You don't have to hold perfectly still in order to WILD. Moving around will make it harder to sleep, thus making it harder to WILD, but the act of holding still, by itself, won't bring you any closer.

Try taking some aspirin before you go to bed. I've found this can help ease the restless legs. Also, and I'm totally serious, have an orgasm before bed. Dopamine has been found to ease the legs and The O is the easiest way to get a surge of dopamine.

It is also much more apparant when I lie on my back which, though it makes WILDs easier, I've only recently begun to realise isn't 100% imperitive for success. So I'll work more on trying to get it to work lying on my side.

It definitely worsens the more attention I pay to it- at the moment it's so annoying that just the act of thinking about attempting WILD makes the feeling start to appear, like a pre-emptive strike from my body. Which totally blows.

The aspirin thing is an interesting idea, I'll definitely give that a go tonight; at this stage I'm open to any suggestions at all! I just went for a pretty solid run as well to try and see if a bit of early excercise helps out. I suppose that's all I can ask for really.

I ordered some galantamine on the weekend so we'll see if that helps induce SP more rapidly than the 40/50 minute mark that I usually give up at.
