Tried WILD last night. Some questions

I had some very vivid and even lucid dreams by accident and usually remember my dreams when I wake up. So I thought I could use this technique to induce them.

What I did was lie down on my back for about 30 minutes while concentrating on my breath and keeping my eyes open. I attempted not to move at all which became increasingly difficult (got itches, aches, sense of numbness). Then at one point I found it becoming harder to control my body. I was still aware of reality and what was happening but it was harder for me to keep concentrating on my breath. My vision also became blurred an my eyes kept closing for increasing amounts of time. If I had decided not to open them I would've been instantly asleep. At one point it felt like I couldn't move a single muscle (I'm guessing this was SP but I can't be sure). It wasn't a scary feeling or annoying feeling it was just like I had to really concentrate to force myself to move. (I knew I could if I wanted to). However at that point I must've drifted away. I woke up remembering my dream but not being able to realize I was dreaming or manipulate it. In fact I woke up remembering part of the dream as if it was reality. Just a second where I had to second guess myself (Oh wait, that happened in the dream not in real life).

Was I anywhere close? I couldn't remember hallucinations or anything.

Well seeing as you have to fall asleep to WILD, you have to close your eyes. If you find you fall asleep too quickly, be more active during WBTB to get yourself more alert. While you're waiting to fall asleep, do more active anchors. I like to try to list every object in my room. This also helps me when my body starts to fall asleep, because I can go from listing to visualizing the objects and rooms and projecting a dream landscape. I think your body was trying to fall asleep but since your eyes were open, it couldn't really.
